Battery – Cited

1700 Lincoln Way
Officers responded to a report of a battery. Party 1 stated that he was working when he asked Party 2 to leave the store. Party 2 refused and was escorted out by Party 1 and an argument ensued. During the argument, Party 1 reported that Party 2 started hitting him. Party 2 responded that he was accused of stealing by Party 1 and then Party 1 started hitting him. After further investigation and speaking with a witness, both parties were cited for fighting.

Threats – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of threats. The victim, a store employee, reported that the suspect had attempted to unsuccessfully steal items from the store. The victim confronted the suspect, retrieved the stolen items and the suspect exited the store without further incident. However, shortly after, the suspect re entered the store with his hand thrusted into a pocket mimicking a gun and threatening to shoot the victim before exiting the store a second time. Responding officers located the suspect, who was at a nearby bus stop. After further investigation with a store video documenting the events, the suspect was arrested. 

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers reviewed a report containing a list of subjects who currently had warrants for their arrest. The officers recognized one of the names immediately, due to their past encounters. While patrolling the areas that the subject frequently visited, the officers located and arrested the subject for the warrant. 

 

Driving Under the Influence – Arrested

Caine St & Lakeview Ave
Officers responded to a report of an accident. The driver reported that he had over estimated a wide turn while driving and hit a parked vehicle. The driver stated that he did not have any alcohol but had taken medication about 24 hours ago. When speaking with the driver, the officers observed that the driver showed signs of intoxication through his speech and facial expressions. The officers conducted a field sobriety test which the driver failed. A blood draw was conducted and the driver was arrested.

Vandalism to Property – Cited

2200 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a vandalism incident. The witness reported that she observed the suspect break into a coin holder of an arcade game that was in the laundromat where she was doing her laundry. The witness then heard coins falling on to the floor and saw the suspect pick them up before exiting the laundromat. Responding officers located the suspect, who had $47.00 in quarters in his possession. The suspect stated that the coins were his property after playing an arcade game, which was broken before he started, and the quarters returned to him. The officer was unable to determine if the money did or did not belong to the suspect. The money was confiscated and a property receipt was issued to the suspect. The suspect was cited for damaging the machine.

Arson

Officers responded to a report of a fire. The witness reported that he observed a known suspect light a newspaper stand on fire. The fire was successfully extinguished by the SFFD. 

Vehicle Burglary – Arrested

100 Gonzalez Dr
Officers responded to a report of an auto burglary. The victim reported that he had exited his house and returned to his car to retrieve an item and observed the suspect sitting inside the passenger side of his vehicle. The suspect immediately fled when the victim approached his vehicle. Responding officers located the suspect, who was in possession of several items which were identified as stolen property by the witness. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
