Battery – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a battery. Responding officers made contact with the victim, the library manager, who stated that the suspect was observed placing his hand on an unknown victim’s shoulder to move her out of his way while he was walking towards the library’s bathroom. The victim confronted the suspect about touching someone without their permission, which caused the suspect to turn around and immediately place his hands on the victim’s cheeks. The victim also reported that the suspect frequently entered the library and caused disturbances. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.  

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of possible missing juvenile was located inside a hotel. Responding officers made contact with the hotel manager, who located the name of the person who had rented the room. A computer check revealed that the person had a warrant for his arrest. Officers attempted to make contact with the room’s occupants but no one answered their requests for contact. Based on the circumstances, an entrance was made and both the missing juvenile and suspect were located inside. The suspect was arrested.

Robbery with a Gun

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim stated that he was talking on his cellphone while walking to his vehicle after leaving his office when he was approached by two suspects. The first suspect pointed a gun at him and both suspects took all of the victim’s property before fleeing in a car that was double parked and driven by a third suspect. The victim reported that he was uncertain if the gun was real and was unable to describe the suspects because they had covered their faces and were wearing hooded sweatshirts.  

Vehicle Tampering – Vandalism to Vehicle – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. The victim stated that he had parked his vehicle but left it unlocked and unattended. When the victim returned to his vehicle, he observed that the suspect was sitting inside his vehicle. The suspect then got out of the vehicle, got back into the vehicle and then fled the area on foot. The victim reported that  the vehicle had been searched with multiple items moved around, that the center console was removed with additional scratches around the vehicle. Responding officers searched the area and successfully located the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.
