The victim reported that she had gone downstairs to use the basement bathroom when the suspect followed her and attempted to assault her. The victim successfully fought off the suspect and escaped. The victim stated that she believes the suspect was someone she had befriended on Instagram.
Burglary – Possession of Stolen Property – Arrested

Tenderloin Area
During the course of their investigation into a burglary of a business, SIT members successfully identified a suspect involved with the incident. Based on this information, officers from the Tenderloin area responded to the suspect’s apartment. Due to the fact that the suspect was on probation, a search was conducted which revealed several items belonging to the victim. The suspect was arrested.

The victim reported that he and his friends were passengers in an Uber vehicle earlier. While in the vehicle, the victim and his friends were telling jokes when the driver suddenly stopped the vehicle and told them to get out. When the victim and his friends exited the vehicle, the driver pushed the victim several times before punching him in the face. The driver then got back into his vehicle and drove away.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated suspect who was trying to punch pedestrians. Responding officers located the suspect, who was observed to be intoxicated. The officers placed the suspect in handcuffs and into the patrol vehicle while the suspect yelled profanities and spat twice at the officers. The suspect was later arrested.
