Traffic Violation – No Driver’s License – Arrested

San Jose Ave & Alemany Blvd
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a suspicious looking registration. A computer check on the vehicle revealed that the registration had been expired since April 2017.  The officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver did not have a valid photo ID and verbally gave the officers his name.  A computer check on the name revealed a warrant for his arrest. After further investigation and in addition to the warrant as well as a lack of valid identification, the suspect was arrested.

Elder Abuse – Arrested

1300 31st Ave
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim told the officer that he was at home, two days ago, when he got mad at the suspect, his son, for not listening to him. The suspect responded by grabbing a wooden stick and hitting the victim in the face with it. The officers responded to the house, located the suspect and after further investigation,  arrested the suspect.

Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol – Arrested

19th Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle on 19th Ave drifting in and out of multiple lanes. The officers located the vehicle and observed that the driver was slouched over the steering wheel while in the middle of traffic. The officers woke the driver up and as he exited the vehicle, he almost fell over. Additionally, the driver showed all the obvious signs of being intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. After further testing and investigation, the driver was arrested.

Discharging a Firearm – Possession of a Firearm Silencer – Resisting Arrest – Arrested

1100 Lake Merced Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a witness hearing approximately 5 rapid gun shots. Responding officers arrived at the location and searched the area before locating a vehicle being driven on Lake Merced Blvd and heard additional gun shots being fired from the vehicle. Numerous units arrived and detained the vehicle. The suspect exited the vehicle without incident but refused to comply with the officers while they attempted to place handcuffs on the him. A search of the vehicle located a pistol, a silencer and numerous magazines filled with bullets. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he was a convicted felon. The suspect was arrested.
