Officers responded to a report of a victim who had found numerous bullet holes near the entrance to a bar. The surrounding area by the damage was also littered with spent casings. The victim stated that he did not have any knowledge about any possible reason behind the damage. Responding officers inspected the bar and observed additional bullet holes that had been fired into the building as well.
Traffic Violation – No Driver’s License – Cited

Irving St & 22nd Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle, a moped, make a sudden U-turn and causing a vehicle which had the right of way to brake to avoid a collision. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that the moped had never been registered and that the driver had never been issued a license. The driver was cited and the moped was towed.
Battery – Threats – Arrested

1300 LA Playa St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The witness stated that the suspect had been yelling at the victim and kicking her. The victim reported that she had been working when the suspect, who frequently caused trouble and issues, entered the café. The victim asked the suspect to leave but the suspect responded by angrily threatening to rob and shoot her. The victim attempted to close the door so the suspect could not re enter the café but the suspect started kicking the victim. Responding officers detained the suspect and after further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
