Shoplifting – Possession of Stolen Property – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a known shoplifter who had just exited the store, Walgreens. Responding officers were on their way to the store but located the suspect standing nearby on a MUNI platform. The officers made contact with the suspect who stated that the items in his backpack had just been purchased from Safeway, despite that the items had Walgreen labels on them. After further investigation, the officers determined that the items were stolen from Walgreens. The suspect was cited.
Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The victim reported that the suspect had walked inside the store and then stole two backs of produce. Responding officers located the suspect and a computer check on the suspect revealed a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
