Officers responded to a report of a detained suspect who had been brandishing a knife. The victim, a security guard, reported that he had been called to escort the suspect out due to shoplifting. While being escorted out, the suspect suddenly brandished a knife and walked away from the victim. The victim pursued the suspect and successfully detained him. The suspect was cited.
