Residential Robbery with Gun

An officer responded to a report of an attempted robbery. Upon the officer’s arrival, he met with the victim who stated that an unknown male approached him at his garage. The victim stated that the suspect attempted to rob him at gun point. The victim further stated that he yelled at the suspect to leave several times, and the suspect soon fled the scene.
Suspect: African American, Male, 6’00”, 200 lbs, appeared to have a small afro hairstyle, and clean shaven. LSW: Dark baseball cap, dark hoodie with a zipper, dark denim pants, and white high top basketball shoes.

Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

An officer responded to a report of a burglary at a residence. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim. The victim stated that he left his personal belonging in his residence and it was no longer there upon his arrival from work. The victim also stated that another personal belonging was missing from his vehicle, which was parked outside his residence. The victim further stated that he sometimes leaves his residence unlocked. The officer conducted a search of the immediate area with no results.

Officers responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival, they met with victim who stated that she left and returned to her residence at a later time to find it burglarized. The victim stated that she did not lock the front gate, but she did lock the residential door. She also stated that multiple personal belongings were missing from the residence. The victim was given a follow up form and the evidence from the scene was booked at the Taraval station.

Offices responded to a report of burglary. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers met with the victim. The victim stated the he heard loud noises coming from his garage and he proceeded to check it out. When he looked out of his window, he saw two unknown suspects walking away with his personal belonging. The victim yelled at the suspects to drop his belonging and they did so and walked away. The officers provided the victim with a follow up form.
Suspect #1: African American, Male, 6’00”, 180 lbs, between 20 – 30 years old and black hair color. LSW: A tan colored Safari hat and a tan jacket.
Suspect #2: White, Female, 5’5”, between 20 – 30 years old.

Vandalism to Vehicle

An officer responded to a report of vandalism to vehicles. Upon arriving to the scene, the officer met with the victim. The victim stated that he left his vehicle parked at the location over night, and in the morning noticed his and other cars windows smashed into. Another officer arrived on scene, and the officers attempted to locate the registered owners of the vandalized vehicles. The officers searched the area for video surveillance and witnesses with no result.

Officers responded to a report of a burglarized vehicle. Upon arriving to the scene, the officers met with the victim. The victim stated that she left her vehicle parked at the location over night, and in the morning noticed her vehicles window broken into. She stated that nothing was taken and found something left behind by the suspect. The officers booked the evidence of the scene and gave the victim a follow up form and an additional loss form.

A victim went to the Taraval Station to report that someone has been using her credit cards without her consent. She stated to an officer that she received an item at her residence and noticed multiple transactions that she has not made of her credit card information. The officer provided the victim with a follow up form.

A victim went to the Taraval Station to report fraud. The victim stated that she received numerous letters of thanks and approval to credit card companies that she did not do. The victim provided the officer with a letter and stated that she did not give permission to anyone to conduct such actions. The officer provided the victim with fraud prevention and follow up information.

Officers observed a vehicle with malfunctioning brake lights in front of them. The officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver through a computer records search. The computer search revealed that the driver did not have an issued license. The driver was cited for having a broken brake light and driving without an issued license.

Officers observed a vehicle that did not yield to a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a records check of the person in the vehicle. The records check revealed that the suspect has never been issued a driver’s license. Another person known to the suspect arrived on scene and the vehicle was released to him. The suspect was cited and released for failing to yield to pedestrians and for driving without a driver’s license.

Officers responded to a battery incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who had an injury on his face. The man stated that he dropped his trash into his neighbor’s trash can because there was a buildup of trash at his residence. Shortly later, he observed his neighbor enter his garage and empty a trash can onto the floor. The man told his neighbor to stop repeatedly, when all of a sudden the neighbor punched him in the face. When he attempted to restrain his neighbor, his neighbor stuck him several more times in the face. Eventually, after he fully restrained his neighbor, he left.

Officers responded to a report of a possible threats incident. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers met with the victim. The victim stated that an acquaintance argued with her about the victim’s son. The argument ensued into an altercation and the acquaintance punched the victim several times. The victim then stated that a few days after the altercation, she received a voicemail from an unknown male threatening the victim’s son. Photos were taken of the victim’s injuries and a follow up form was given to the victim.

Officers responded to a radio call for a theft investigation. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers met the victim who stated that someone stole her personal belongings from an office. Through security footage, the suspect could be seen taking an item and placing it into their bag. The suspect walked away without failing to purchase it. The victim stated to the officer that the suspect also entered the office from where her belongings went missing. The victim was issued a Marsy’s card and a follow up form.

Officers responded to a warrant arrest. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers spoke to the suspect and informed him of his warrant arrest. The suspect complied with the officers. The officers arrested the suspect.

Officers responded to a vandalism report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that earlier he heard the sound of glass breaking. When he looked outside, he observed a window that appeared to be broken. The man also saw a suspect in the immediate vicinity who was leaving the scene. The man pointed out where the suspect was, and the officers detained the suspect. Since the man who contacted the police did not see the suspect vandalizing the window, the officers issued the suspect a certificate of release, and released him at the scene.

A victim of fraud went to the Taraval Station to report the crime. The victim stated that she was receiving collection calls from an agency for a specific address. The victim stated that she moved out of the address when the collections started to take place, and that she had terminated her previous renting location. An officer at the Taraval Station gave the victim a case number and follow up information.

Officers responded to a report of a possible burglary. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who stated that her personal supplies were stolen, as she was away from her residence temporarily. Upon inspection of her security camera footage, the officers determined that the trash collector moved the victim’s supplies and was advised to contact Recology. The victim was given a follow-up form was advised by the officers to save the footage of the incident.

An officer viewed a vehicle fail to stop at a solid red traffic signal. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The officer cited the driver for failing to stop at a solid red traffic signal and for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Officers responded to a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene the officers were told that the suspect stole multiple items from the store. Later the officers found multiple items belonging to nearby stores that were not paid for. The officers were able to return the items to the rightful owners. The suspect was arrested and booked for burglary.

Officers responded to a broken window incident. A woman told the officers that her window was smashed and saw an individual yelling outside her room. The officers detained the individual; however the individual stated that he did not break the window. There were no video surveillance and the individual was released.

Officers observed a vehicle not stop for a red light and conducted a traffic stop. A computer check on the driver revealed that the driver was never issued a drivers license. An officer in full uniform observed a vehicle not stop for a posted stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. The driver told the officer that his license was suspended and that he did not have insurance. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver. The officer cited the driver for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and for not stopping for a posted stop sign.

Officers were dispatched to a physical altercation involving two males. A witness was able to detain one of the individuals that were fighting. The officers determined that the individual was intoxicated and was unable to take care of himself so he was transported to Taraval Station.

A woman came into Taraval Station to file a robbery report. The woman stated to the officer that after she walked by two unknown suspects, she heard footsteps running towards her from behind. Before she could turn around, one of the unknown suspects then hit her from behind. The woman fell to the ground, and the two unknown suspects continued to hit her. The two unknown suspects then grabbed the woman’s purse and fled the scene.

An officer responded to a robbery incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the victim who stated that customers at the building notified him that the suspect stole store merchandises. The victim then chased the suspect where he confronted the suspect. The suspect tried to fight him, so the victim defended himself by kicking the suspect. The officer conducted a computer check on the suspect that revealed there were outstanding warrants for his arrest, and the suspect was on probation. The officer arrested and booked the suspect.

The woman believes that her personal belonging might have fallen out of her pocket, and that an unknown suspect picked it up.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a theft from a building. She stated to the officer that earlier she allowed a woman to stay at her residence. While at the woman stayed at her residence, she admitted to driving the victim’s vehicle without permission and taking her clothing. The victim stated that another one of her personal belongings was missing, and that she believes the woman stole it.

Officers responded to a report of a theft from a building. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that shares her residence with several roommates. She observed ten unknown suspects, who she believed were invited, in her residence. After the ten unknown suspects left her residence, the woman discovered that some of her money and one of her personal belongings was missing from her room. The officers met two of the woman’s roommates who also stated that a few of their personal belongings were missing from their rooms.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report vandalism to a vehicle. The woman stated to the officer that at an earlier date, an unknown suspect was banging on doors because she could not find her vehicle. The woman’s sister notified the unknown suspect that her vehicle was towed. The woman later noticed scratches on the doors to her vehicle. She believes that the unknown suspect was responsible for damaging her vehicle.

Officers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that his wife informed him of an envelope with a return label to his name. When the man removed a card from the envelope, he observed a white powdery substance pressed between two thin pieces of plastic. The officers stated that they would seize the envelope and send it to the Department of Public Health to be analyzed.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a fraud. The woman stated to the officer that she received a letter stating that she owed money for previous her tax filing. The woman stated that she has not filed any taxes for a while, and does not know how an unknown suspect was able to use her personal information to file taxes.

Officer observed a moving vehicle displaying expired registration tabs. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. The officers cited the driver for driving without a license, without proof of insurance, and with expired registration.

An officer observed a vehicle stopped at a red light with the left brake light out. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. The driver stated to the officer that her driver’s license was expired, and she did not have insurance or registration papers for her vehicle. A computer check confirmed that both the driver’s license and registration were expired. The computer check also confirmed that the driver did not have insurance for her vehicle. The officer cited the driver for driving with an expired license, without proof of insurance, and with a nonfunctional brake light.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a theft from her home. The woman stated to the officer that when she went into a room of her home, she noticed that one of her personal belongings was missing. The woman does not believe an unknown suspect broke into her house because there was no signs of forced entry.

An officer responded to a report of a shoplifting investigation. Upon arrival to the scene, the officer met with loss prevention of the department store. The agent stated that she observed the suspect take several items and head towards the exit, passing many cashier registers along the way. When the suspect reached the exit doors of the store, the agent made a citizen’s arrest and called the police. The officer cited the suspect for shoplifting and released her.

A woman walked into the Taraval station stating that someone had hit her vehicle. The officer advised her that this was a civil matter and she stated that she just needed a police report. The officer conducted a computer check on the driver who hit her vehicle and revealed that the driver was in violation of a couple of vehicle codes.

The victim stated that she heard a man at the front door of her residence. She informed her roommate and they both inspected to see who it was. They observed a male walking away from the residence. The victim looked into the matter and stated that she had not made any of the charges. The victim stated that she believes her recent caregiver is responsible for the fraudulent charges. An officer provided her with a follow up form and case number.

An officer assisting in a traffic collision noticed a man who was a suspect of a battery incident. After the officer finished assisting the collision, the officer spoke to the suspect. The suspect acknowledged the prior incident and was booked at Taraval Station.

Robbery – Probation Violation

Officers responded to a robbery incident in a grocery store. Upon arrival, the victim stated that the suspect threatened to punch him and therefore he did not pursue the suspect. The suspect was then located a few feet away from the store. A records check revealed that the suspect was on active probation. The suspect was arrested for robbery and transported to county jail.

Officers were dispatched to a robbery incident. Upon arrival, the victim told the officers that two unknown suspects pushed him off his bike and assaulted him before stealing his bike.

Officers responded to a possible burglary. Upon arrival the officers spoke with the owner who stated that his residence was broken into. The officers observed pry mark on the doors, and the contractors stated that some of their tools were missing.

A woman came to Taraval Station to report a fraud report. She stated that she noticed charges on her bank account that were unauthorized. Additionally, there were multiple items that were missing from her house. She suspects that the person responsible is a previous caregiver she hired.
