Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

An officer responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that when he left his house he only closed the main gate to the house. He later returned home to discover that a suspect gained entry into his house. The suspect stole money and a personal belonging to the man.

Malicious Mischief – Tire Slashing

An officer responded to a tire slashing incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that she returned to her parked vehicle to discover that all four of the tires were flat. She stated that this is an ongoing problem.

An officer responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met two women who stated that earlier a man came into the building wanting to get baptized. He claimed that he murdered someone the other day, but God forgave him already. When the women further questioned the man, he stated that the incident was only a dream and left the building.

Officers responded to an alleged stabbing incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that his roommate may have been stabbed. When the officers entered the residence, they observed a trail of blood at the entrance of the house that lead to a bedroom. The officers knocked on the door and the woman who answered the door had a large laceration on her face. The woman appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was unable to recall how she received the laceration. A medic arrived at the scene and transported the woman to the hospital.

An officer observed a moving vehicle with a nonfunctional brake light. The officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the driver. A computer check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The officer cited the driver for driving with a suspended license and driving with a nonfunctional brake light.

Residential Burglary

An officer responded to a burglary report. Upon arrival to the scene, the officer noticed that the residence was under construction and met with a construction worker. The construction worker stated that upon his arrival to the residence he noticed the door and a window open. He also stated that his tools were stolen from his tool box that was left in the residence. The officer issued the victim a follow-up form and an additional loss form.

An officer responded to a burglary report. Upon arrival to the scene, the officer met with the victims. One of the victims stated that upon arrival to their residence, they noticed some of their personal belongings missing and believed that the unknown suspect entered through the patio door. The officer issued the victims a follow-up form.

Officers observed two pedestrians struggling to push a motorcycle. The officers observed that the motorcycle was leaking and approached the pedestrians. One pedestrian stated that the motorcycle was out of gasoline and the other stated that he was only helping him push it to his destined location. When the officers directed the pedestrian of the location to the nearest gas station, the pedestrian stated that the motorcycle was malfunctioning, and he was taking it to an auto shop. The officers conducted a computer check of the motorcycle and it came back under a different name from the pedestrian. The officers placed the suspect under arrest and released the man who helped him push the motorcycle. The suspect stated that he saw an open locker at a gym and took the personal belongings that were in it. He noticed that the key matched a motorcycle nearby and stole it. The suspect was transported and booked at the Taraval station.

Officers responded to a report of theft. Upon arrival to the scene they met with a man who called for the police. The man stated that he was at a bar and received a ride from female and her brother, only if he paid for their gas. They proceeded to a gas station where the man says that the female and her brother took his ATM card. The officers spoke to the store clerk if there was any accessible video surveillance and the clerk stated that it will be available at a later time. The man was given a follow-up form.

A woman walked into the Taraval Station to report a theft from a motel where she had stayed. She stated that she left the motel and returned at a later time to find her belongings missing. She contacted the manger at a later time and the manger first stated they had her belongings, but at a later occasion he stated they had no items and didn’t know what she was talking about. The officer gave the woman a follow-up form.

An officer responded to a report of theft. Upon arriving to the scene the officer met with a witness, the store employee and store owner. The witness stated that he observed four suspects run out of the store and into a vehicle to speed off. The store owner stated that she did not observe the incident but they had video surveillance showing the suspects taking multiple items. The employee stated that he was distracted while trying to assist two of the suspects while another suspect took the items. The officer issued the employee and store owner a follow-up form.

A man went to the Taraval Station to file a report of identity theft. The victim stated that he tried to open a bank account but was declined. The victim was advised that an unknown suspect had the same social security number in a different state. The victim stated that he was a victim of armed robbery and believes his personal information was stolen. An officer provided the victim with a follow-up form.

While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn. The officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver. The officers conducted a computer check of the driver to reveal that he did not have a driver’s license. The vehicle was released to the passenger in the vehicle with a valid driver’s license. The driver was cited for making an illegal left turn and for driving without a license.

Burglary – Residence Under Construction – Forcible Entry

An officer responded to a report of burglary at a home under construction. Upon arrival the officer was told by the victim that his tools were stolen. The officer searched the residence and determined the point of entry was the front door because the door appeared to have been forced open while it was locked. CSI was notified and the victim was given a follow-up form.

Officers responded to a residential burglary incident. The officers were told there was an unknown male inside the residence. The officers were told by house cleaners that the suspect fled after making eye contact with them. Multiple units searched for the suspect in the area. The owner of the residence later told the officers that nothing was broken or stolen from the house.

Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary. The victims told the officers that their belongings were scattered all over the place, and some of their property was missing. The victims noticed that their credit cards were missing and also discovered multiple fraudulent charges were made on them. After the officers searched the residence they determined the point of entry was through a window.

An officer observed a vehicle with expired tabs, and a computer check revealed that the vehicle had expired registration. The officer then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officer identified the driver by her driver license, which was expired and the driver was also unable to show proof of insurance. The officer cited the driver for driving a vehicle with expired registration, not having proof of insurance, and for driving with an expired driver’s license. The driver’s vehicle was left legally parked at the scene.

An officer observed an animal on a driver’s lap and blocking the driver’s window. The officer then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, after a computer query the officer discovered the driver did not possess a valid driver license and also no proof of insurance. The driver was cited for driving with no license and no insurance. The vehicle was released to her acquaintance.

Robbery with a Gun

Officers responded to a robbery with a gun. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that after he entered his vehicle, a suspect approached him and demanded his vehicle’s keys. The suspect showed him a gun tucked inside his waistband as he made his demands. When the man refused to exit his vehicle, the suspect took his keys. Another suspect then went to the passenger side of the vehicle and stole the man’s personal belongings. After that, both suspects fled on foot to a vehicle with another suspect in the driver seat. The suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.
Suspect 1: Black male, 20-25 years old, 5’8”, 170 lbs, black hair. LSW: Short black hair, light facial hair, jeans, light colored t-shirt, and a black semi auto handgun.
Suspect 2: Black male, 18-22 years old, 5’10”, 150 lbs, black hair. LSW: Short black twisty hair.

Battery – Throwing a Substance at a Vehicle

A man came into Taraval Station to report battery and vandalism. The man stated that as he was driving, a vehicle began following behind him while blinking its headlights. When the man stopped his vehicle, the vehicle pulled alongside side him, and the suspect inside the vehicle threw a cup of coffee at him. The suspect then screamed at him and drove away. The man was able to obtain the suspect’s license plate information as he drove away.

A man and woman came into Taraval Station to report a dog bite. They stated to the officers that as they were walking, they stopped to chat with a neighbor and an officer. As they were talking, the suspect walked his two dogs pass the group. One of the dogs, suddenly and unprovoked, bit the woman’s thigh. The owner of the dog was surprised and handed her his contact information.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a scam. The woman stated to the officer that she responded to an online advertisement for property available for rent. The woman contacted the suspect and was instructed to wire funds to an account. After she wired the funds, she became suspicious because she never received further communication from the suspect. When she contacted the police, they advised her that she was a victim of a scam.

Suspicious Occurrence

Officers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that she let the suspect stay in her home while she was on vacation. When she returned to her home, she found several miscellaneous chemicals and equipment in her garage. The woman threw everything away. She stated that she did not want the suspect to stay at her house anymore. The officers documented and booked the evidence at Taraval Station.

Officers observed a vehicle with an expiration tab. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. A computer records check of the driver revealed that the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver also did not have insurance. The officers cited the driver for driving with a suspended license, expired registration, and without proof of insurance.

Officers responded to a vehicle collision. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a firefighter who pointed out to the officers a group of men who were in a vehicle involved in the collision. The officers then interviewed a man who stated that he was driving when the collision occurred. The man’s eyes were bloodshot, his speech was slurred, and his gait was unsteady. When questioned, he admitted he drank alcohol earlier. A computer check revealed that there were outstanding warrants for the man’s arrest. The officers booked the man for the outstanding warrants for his arrest.
