SABA-NC Spotlight: Kulvinder “Rani” Singh Mann

Kulvindar “Rani” Singh Mann is a prosecutor in San Francisco with more than 15 years of experience. Rani is currently assigned to the Neighborhood Prosecution Team at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where she works with law enforcement, city agencies, and the community throughout San Francisco. Prior to her current assignment, she practiced in both the juvenile and adult divisions of the office, with an emphasis on domestic violence, stalking, narcotics, juvenile gun crimes, sexual assault, and collaborative courts.

Rani is a member of SABA-NC, the California Women Lawyer’s Association, and BASF. As part of UC Berkeley’s Incentive Awards Program, Rani helps to award grants to economically disadvantaged scholars for study at the University. She is an active and long standing member of the intern recruitment team at the SFDA, which takes her all over the bay area to meet with and select among promising candidates. Rani also has a deep passion for teaching. She regularly presents at high schools, colleges, and law schools and instructs at the police academy. Most recently, she presented for the AOC (Administration of the Courts) in Anaheim and started teaching at the California District Attorneys’ Association. Rani is passionate about mentoring young lawyers, and works with numerous law students and recent graduates, often assisting them in job placement following law school.
