Recently, imposters posing as members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco have been asking for donations from people in various places throughout the City. They appear to be carrying official looking documents that feature the Boys and Girls Clubs logo. The REAL staff of the SF Boys and Girls Clubs is asking the public to not fall victim to these fraudulent “fundraising” efforts.
The Boys and Girls Clubs is a very reputable group that has tirelessly worked hard to provide essential services to at-risk youths. It is very unfortunate that some individuals are taking advantage of the Club’s identity that is well recognized and respected throughout the world.
Therefore, the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco asks that if you’re approached IN PUBLIC by someone claiming to be a member of the organization on a fundraising drive, please DO NOT DONATE any money. Instead report the incident to the San Francisco Police by calling (415) 553-0123.
