Verbal Threats

Officers responded to a call of verbal threats. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met women whom stated that a few months ago when one of their appliances broke, the suspect volunteered to repair it. They agreed and offered a schedule of when the suspect could show up to their premises. However, the suspect violated the agreement. When they told the suspect he could no longer enter their premises without permission, he became very agitated and made numerous threats against them. The officers provided the women a follow-up form.

Robbery with Force – Arrest

Officers responded to a robbery with force. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers spoke to a security director who stated that he observed a woman enter a store with a large empty purse. The woman placed several store merchandises into her purse and made no attempt to pay for the items while exiting the store. The security director approached the woman and identified himself. The woman reached into her purse and continued doing so even when advised not to. The security director attempted to detain the woman, but she resisted and struggled. Back up arrived and the woman was detained. During the process, the woman bit the security director. The officers booked the woman.

Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

Officers responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a carpenter who stated that he locked all the tools in a locked container and placed the container inside a half-built garage. The next day, one of his employees noticed that the container had been broken into. The officer provided the carpenter a follow-up form.

Officers responded to a burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer a man who stated that he observed the suspect on the second floor and about to enter a room. When he asked the suspect what he was doing there, he said he was there for the security job. During the incident, the man entered without making contact with numerous occupants of the building. He informed the officer that he was on probation and parole. The officer arrested the man.

Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

An officer responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met two men who stated that when they were checking on their belongings at their house, there were many of their personal belongings that were missing. They were unsure how the suspect was able to get into his house. The officer gave the men follow-up forms.

Theft – False Pretenses – False Personation

A man came into Taraval Station to report a theft and fraud. He stated to the officer that earlier he asked the suspect for help moving furniture to a new residence. The next morning, the suspect came to his home with two other suspects. They loaded all his personal belongings into a truck and demanded him to pay. He paid and they left. The suspect used his name to rent the truck. The officer gave the man follow-up information.
Suspect 1: Black male, 6’5”, 42-46 years old, 200 lbs, black hair, brown eyes.
Suspect 2: White male, 5’8”, 53-56 years old, 170 lbs, brown hair.
Suspect 3: White male, 5’9”, 43-46 years old, 170 lbs, bald.

Malicious Mischief – Vandalism to Property

A woman came into Taraval Station to report vandalism to property. She stated to the officer that the suspect was served eviction papers recently. She believes that in retaliation, the suspect cut surveillance camera wiring. The officer gave the woman follow-up information.

Miscellaneous Investigation

An officer responded to a reported argument between two roommates. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that she had a verbal argument with a friend of her roommate. Her roommate then knocked her bedroom door and placed a chair in front of the door. He sat on the chair and yelled at her. The woman, fearing for her safety, did not open the door. The officer provided the woman a follow-up form.

Investigative Detention

Officers observed a man standing next to a window of a crowded restaurant. The man was looking intently at the patrons inside and yelling profusely. He was also waving him arms and disturbing multiple citizens inside the restaurant. The officers detained the man for investigative purposes. They wanted to determine the man’s sobriety and sanity. After speaking with the man, the officer determined that he was not intoxicated and was able to care for himself. They released the man with no further action.

Driving with a Suspended License and Expired Registration – Cited

Officers observed a vehicle in front of them with expired registration. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. A computer query revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The officer cited the driver for driving with a suspended license and expired registration.

Robbery with Force

Officers responded to a report of robbery at a department store. Upon arrival to the scene the officers met with a store loss prevention employee. The loss prevention employee stated the she observed two men obtain merchandise and walk out of the store passing cash registers along the way. Other loss prevention employees stopped the two suspects who used force in the commission of the crime. The two suspects were placed under citizen’s arrest until the officer’s arrival. The officers accepted the citizen’s arrest and took custody of the two suspects.

Officers investigated an incident where a man potentially pulled out a knife on a victim and fled the scene prior to police arrival. The officers later observed the suspect exit his residence and enter his vehicle from an undisclosed location. The officers approached the vehicle and arrested the suspect, which was properly identified by a computer check.

Residential Burglary with Force

Officers responded to report of a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival to the scene the officers conducted a search of the outer spaces and interior of the residence with the owner’s consent. In the preliminary investigation, it was determined that nothing was taken. The victim further stated that she left the door locked and the alarm system on. Officers took photographs of the damaged door and booked them as evidence.

A man went to the Taraval station to report fraud. The man stated that he received a statement saying that a financial amount from his banking account was being transferred to another account. He stated that he has been receiving denials for credit card applications for which he did not apply to. He stated to the officer that he never gave permission to anyone to make transactions in his name. The victim was given a case number, fraud prevention information and follow-up information.

A man went to the Taraval station to report fraud. The man stated that he received a call from the IRS telling him to pay back taxes. The man thought the call was legitimate and complied. His friend later informed him that he was being defrauded. An officer provided the victim with a case number, fraud prevention information, and a follow-up form.

Death Report

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person. Upon arrival to the scene the officers met with a fire fighter crew that had already entered the residence and also met with the reportee. The reportee stated that he had been smelling a foul odor for a number of days and noticed a stack of mail outside of the victim’s residence. The officers observed the body and were told by the medical examiner that the man died of natural causes. The officers booked a copy of the medical examiners property receipt as evidence.

Robbery with Force – Arrest Made

Officers responded to a report of robbery at a department store. Upon arrival to the scene the officers met with a store loss prevention employee. The loss prevention agent stated that he observed a man obtain merchandise and walk out of the store passing cash registers along the way. The suspect used physical force to get away. The loss prevention agent was able to stop the suspect. The LPA signed a citizen’s arrest form and the responding officers accepted custody of the suspect.

Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at a department store. A loss prevention employee observed a man walk out of the store with multiple items of merchandise, passing cash registers along the way. Loss prevention employees stopped the suspect and placed him under citizen’s arrest. Responding officers accepted the citizen’s arrest and cited the suspect for shoplifting.

A man went to the Taraval station to file a theft from a building report. The man stated that one of his personal belongings was missing from his office. An officer provided the victim with a reportee follow-up form with a case number.

Suspicious Occurrence

Officers responded to a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival to the scene the officers met with the victim who stated that an unknown suspect was using their stolen garage door opener to gain access to her garage. The victim stated that she observed a white pickup truck at the same moment the garage door motor activated. The victim stated that she was unable to obtain the license plate information or the description of the driver. The officers provided the victim with a case number and advised her to call the police if the incident happens again.

An officer was using his speed gun at an intersection. When the speed gun registered past the posted speed limit on a vehicle, the officer conducted an enforcement traffic stop on that vehicle. The officer noticed that the driver’s license was from out of state, while the driver was residing in California. The driver could not provide satisfactory proof of insurance. The driver was cited for driving above the posted speed limit, driving without proof of insurance, and driving without a valid California driver’s license.

Assault at a Bar

A man came to Taraval Station to report an assault. The man stated that he was knocked down and assaulted by an unknown suspect while he was at a bar. The man stated he immediately called 911; however, he believes the suspect canceled the call.

Officers responded to a possible burglary. Upon arrival the officers met with the victim. The victim stated that he was in the process of moving and that his property was missing. He also told the officers that he believes an unknown suspect may have stole his property.

A man came to Taraval Station to report his property being stolen after he left it on top of his vehicle. The man stated that while he was not watching his property, an unknown suspect took his property and left.

Theft – Shoplifting

An officer responded to a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival the officer was told that an unknown suspect walked into the store and stole some merchandise, when the owner asked for the property the unknown suspect fled the store.
Suspect : White male between the age 50 – 60, 6’0, approximately 225 pounds. LSW : maroon shirt, blue overalls.

Officers responded to a shoplifting incident at a department store. The officers met with a loss prevention agent who told the officers. The suspect was seen concealing unpaid merchandise into a bag and made no attempt to pay for the merchandise. The loss prevention agent signed a citizen’s arrest form. The responding officers accepted custody of the suspect and subsequently booked the suspect at Taraval Station.

An officer responded to a dispute relating a damaged vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene the officer was told by the reportee that a vehicle was parked in his driveway and refused to leave. The owner of the vehicle stated that the reportee might have damaged his vehicle and therefore refused to leave.

Officers responded to a burglary call. The officers were told by dispatch that the building was guarded by a security system that detected an unknown presence. Upon arrival the officers discovered the doors of the building have been forcibly damaged. The owner of the building was notified and responded to the scene. The owner took a preliminary inventory of did not find any items missing at this time.

The officer discovered that the storage unit was intact however the padlock was cut. The officer determined the point of entry to the storage unit was through the lobby entrance.

An officer responded to a neighbor dispute and vandalism. The victim told the officer that he has security footage of his neighbor and an unknown suspect cutting down a tree in his backyard.

Officers on patrol responded to a malicious mischief incident. Upon arrival the officers were told by the victim her neighbor had broken her window and made verbal threats against her.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. When the officer asked the suspect for a driver license, the suspect was only able to provide a California Identification card. A computer query then indicated that the vehicle’s registration was expired and driver’s license status was also expired. The vehicle was left legally parked in a parking space. The driver was cited for driving with an expired driver license and driving with expired vehicle registration.

An officer in full uniform and a marked vehicle recognized a driver from a previous incident driving a vehicle with a suspended driver license. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer query revealed that the driver’s license was still suspended. The vehicle was left legally parked on the street. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license.

An officer observed a vehicle not stop for pedestrians getting off a Muni LRV. The officer then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle when it was safe. The driver provided all documentation that was requested; however, a computer query indicated that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver released the vehicle to a licensed driver. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and for failing to yield to pedestrians.
