On Saturday, December 6, 2014 members of Taraval Station participated in the “Brave the Bay SFPD Challenge.” The event was a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish of Greater Bay Area. The “Challenge” was divided into three activities–a run/walk, a plunge in the Bay, and a cable car pull contest. Seven members of Taraval Station formed a team to participate in the cable car pull challenge. Captain Lum was also present to rally his officers.
The cable car pull was the highlight of the event since it was a team competition. Members of other police stations as well as corporate and social groups formed their respective teams. At the end of the day, there were no losers since every participant played an important role in raising money for a great cause.
