Gambling – Possession of Gambling Devices – Permit Violation

1900 Ocean Ave
Officers arrived at a local business to conduct a permit inspection. Upon entering the business, the officers met with the owner, the manager and an employee. The officers observed gambling machines and asked them for their permits for the machines. They could not provide any permits to the officers. The officers took pictures of the scene and booked the evidence.

Embezzlement – Grand Theft

2000 Taraval St
The owner stated that a previous employee had been stealing money from the company. He stated that he just found out, as he had just acquired the business recently.
Suspect – Hispanic male :: 32-33 years :: 5’10” tall :: 340 lbs :: black hair :: brown eyes

Theft-Shoplifting – Cited

1200 Irving St
Loss prevention observed a suspect taking items from the store without paying for them The Loss Prevention employee restrained the suspect and officers arrived on scene to cite the suspect for the above mentioned violation.

Death Report
5:29 pm
100 Granada Ave
The victim’s son stated that his father started breathing hard and was in the process of  taking him to the hospital when the victim suddenly stopped breathing. Medic arrived on scene and was unable to revive the victim. Medical examiners arrived on scene and then took over the investigation.

Battery – Cited

Ocean Ave & Sunset Blvd
Three victims were on scene and stated that the suspects approached them while they were on the MUNI bus and started a physical confrontation with them for an unspecified reason. The MUNI driver called 911 and officers cited six suspects, who were minors, for battery and released them to their guardians.

An officer observed a vehicle speeding above the posted speed limit. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The officer cited the driver for the above mentioned violations.

Battery
10:54 pm
00 West Portal Ave
The victim and witness stated that an unknown suspect had struck the victim on the face multiple times until he fell to the ground. A witness also observed the suspect kick the victim on the face before he fled the scene. The officers summoned medical personnel for the victim and searched the area for the suspect with no results.
Suspect – White male :: 6’0” tall :: black hair

Headlight Inoperable – Tail Lights Inoperable – Expired registration Tabs – No Drivers License – Cited

Irving St and 29th Ave
An officer observed a vehicle with inoperable head and tail lights. As the officer drove closer to the vehicle, the officer also noticed the vehicle’s registration tab was also expired. The officer conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on driver revealed that the driver never had a license issued. The officer cited the driver for the above mentioned violations.
