Arson

2200 47th Ave
Officers responded to a report of an incident of arson. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that she woke up to the smell of smoke. The victim investigated but did not see anything burning inside the house but observed that the outside of her house had some damages that looked blackened and burnt. 

Trespassing – Cited

2600 46th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a trespasser; dispatch reported that a suspect was observed running on roof tops. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he had looked out and discovered the suspect was trying to get out of the back yard. The officers located and detained the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was cited for trespassing.   

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with the victim who stated that he had been drinking most of the day and was unable to provide further information. The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Witnesses told the officers that they saw the victim lying on the street with the suspect standing over him. The suspect kicked the victim a couple times before walking away. The suspect then returned and threw a garbage can at the victim before walking away again. Officers located and detained the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested. 

Burglary – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. Responding officers spoke to the victim who stated that he was at home when he heard a loud bang from the rear bedroom. The victim investigated and observed the suspects trying to climb in from the bedroom window. The victim called out to the suspects which caused them to flee.  Officers searched and located the suspects. While on scene, one of the suspect’s mother responded and a computer check on the mother revealed that she had been arrested for child endangerment. After further investigation, the suspects were arrested for burglary.

SIT inspector conducted an investigation on a burglary, that had happened earlier in the week, which led to the identity of the suspect. Officers responded to the suspect’s location and arrested him for the burglary.
