Violation of Restraining Order – Arrested

21st Ave & Taraval St
Officers responded to a report regarding a person walking back and forth carrying a wooden stick. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and recognized the suspect from prior incidents. A computer check of the suspect revealed he has a restraining order that prohibits him from owning or possessing any weapons, sticks, or canes. Officers placed the suspect under arrest for violation of the restraining order.

Domestic Violence – Arrested

Officers responded to a report regarding an incident of domestic violence. The victim reported that she had questioned the suspect earlier which caused the suspect to become agitated. A verbal argument ensued and the suspect took the victim’s cell phone. While the victim was attempting to retrieve her phone and the suspect was evading her, the suspect pushed the victim and hit her once with a flashlight. After further investigation, the victim was granted an emergency protective order against the suspect and the suspect was arrested.

Theft – Arrested

Officers were patrolling for car theft when dispatch reported a male breaking into a parked vehicle. Responding officers  located and detained the suspect. The victim reported that she was inside a RV vehicle when she heard noises coming from the her parked car. The victim investigated and observed the suspect rummaging around and removing items from the vehicle before depositing them on to the street. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested. 

Fraud – Arrested

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a possible incident of fraud. A loss prevention employee reported that the suspect attempted to purchase three new cell phones but the name listed on the primary account on file did not match the suspect’s photo identification while the address did. A call to the primary account holder revealed that the suspect was not authorized to purchase new phones for the account. The store employee completed the transaction and the suspect was immediately detained outside the store. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
