Attempted Robbery \u2013 Assault with a Gun<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n Officers responded to a report of a person who had been shot. Responding officers made contact with the victim, who stated that he was dropping off an item as a favor for a friend. As he was waiting in his vehicle, two suspects approached him and demanded his property while pointing a gun at him. The victim refused to hand over his valuables and responded that the suspects could shoot him instead. When one of the suspects attempted to reach in and grab his necklace, the victim started his vehicle in an attempt to drive away when the suspect shot him three times in his leg. Immediately afterwards, the suspects fled. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officers used their LIDAR and confirmed that the vehicle was traveling at 54 mph in a 30 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license was suspended. The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
