Traffic Violation \u2013 No Driver\u2019s License Issued \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n Sunset Blvd & Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers <\/span>were conducting speed enforcement, using LIDAR, on Sunset Ave and<\/span>\u00a0observed a vehicle traveling approximately 43 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a valid license. <\/span>The driver was cited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assault \u2013 Animal Cruelty \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 5:43 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 2000 24th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that they were driving when the suspect, in another vehicle, opened the driver’s side door and two small dogs, on a leash and harness, ran out of the vehicle. The victim was unable to stop her car in time and struck one of the dogs. The victim stopped her vehicle and the suspect ran up to the victim while yelling and screaming at her. The victim attempted to call the police but the suspect punched the victim approximately 10 times before pinning the victim against the vehicle door and slammed it against her multiple times. The suspect then picked up the unhurt dog and swung the dog, from left to right, and hitting the victim with it. The suspect denied hitting the victim. After<\/span>\u00a0further investigation, <\/span>the suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n
