Homicide with Sharp Object \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 2:16 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 00 Chester Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a church. Responding officers located the subject, who was bleeding and \u00a0holding a knife while the victim lay on the ground nearby with stab wounds. The officers were successful in convincing \u00a0the suspect to drop the knife and despite his resistance, the suspect was also successfully handcuffed. A witness reported that both the suspect and victim were members of the church and had been having marital issues. Earlier in the day, the suspect had come into the church and was speaking to the victim when the suspect suddenly stabbed the victim and then himself. The suspect was arrested and transferred to a hospital for treatment for his wounds. The investigation is currently ongoing. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n Officers responded to a report of a fire inside a church, which was successfully extinguished by the SFFD. The witness reported that he had arrived and unlocked the church doors when he smelled smoke, which was stronger inside the classroom. SFFD reported that there were no signs of forced entry but that the fire was set intentionally. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
