Upon arrival, a man approached the officer stating that unknown suspect broke the front lock of his residence and had stolen an item. The man did not give anyone permission to enter his home. The point of entry and exit was the front gate. The suspect is unknown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n9:30 pm<br \/>\n1000 35th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a residential burglary. Upon arrival, a man stated that he left his home with his locks secured. When he returned, he found out that the doors to his home were opened later that day. His house was ransacked and certain items went missing. The point of entry was through the front gate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft<br \/>\n8:12 pm<br \/>\n400 Gellert Drive<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came to Taraval Station to report a theft. She stated that she locked her vehicle in front of her home and when she returned later the day, she discovered that items were stolen from her vehicle. The woman was provided a case number and follow up information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dog Bite<br \/>\n4:26 pm<br \/>\n00 Aptos Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came to Taraval Station to report a dog bite incident. He stated that he was a caretaker for his friend\u2019s dog. He went for a walk with the dog and the dog started to bark and attack a dog nearby. He stopped the dog from attacking, which resulted in a small injury. The man was provided a case number and follow up information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to Property<br \/>\n8:05 am<br \/>\n1000 39th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in a marked police vehicle and on uniformed patrol responded to a residence regarding vandalism. Upon arrival at the scene, a man approached and stated to the officers that an unknown suspect had vandalized the door locks on the exterior of his home. He also stated that his door locks were functioning and working properly before he came home and suspected that an unknown suspect had vandalized his door locks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to Vehicle<br \/>\n12:27pm<br \/>\n00 Terrace Drive<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a residence regarding vandalism done to a woman&#8217;s vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers made contact with the woman and she stated she had parked her vehicle and left it unattended for sometimes and an unknown suspect had scratched and vandalized her vehicle. A case number was provided to the woman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n5:49pm<br \/>\n1000 La Playa St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform and in a marked police vehicle responded to a residence regarding a possible break in. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were approached by a woman. The woman stated that she had left her home locked and secured in the morning and when she came back later that day, her door was wide open and there were no signs of forced entry. She gave no permission for to any person to enter her home. Upon arrival at the scene, a man and a woman approached the officers and stated that certain items were missing when they left their home. The woman stated that there was no signs of forced entry and the living room window was left unlocked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n10:14am<br \/>\n2000 45th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform and driving a marked police vehicle responded to a call regarding a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, a man approached the officers and stated that he locked and secured the residence after he finished construction of the house. When he returned to the house later that day, the man discovered certain items were missing. The point of entry and exit appears to be the exterior door to the garage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burglary \u2013 Unlawful Entry<br \/>\n2:13pm<br \/>\n800 Ulloa Street<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a residence regarding a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, a man approached the officer and stated that he locked all the doors to the building before he left. When he came back later the day, certain items were missing from his work site and he noticed damages on the windows. The point of entry and exit point appears to be the hallway windows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warrant Arrest<br \/>\n3:35pm<br \/>\n14th Ave and Lincoln Way<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform responded to a dispatch call regarding a possible burglary in progess. Upon arrival at the scene, an anonymous reportee called out to an officer and pointed that suspect was running away. Officers then stopped and identified the suspect. The suspect&#8217;s record indicated that the man had an outstanding warrant. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was arrest and booked at Taraval Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Trick and Device<br \/>\n12:19pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a local store regarding a theft. A man approached the officer and stated that an unknown suspect had told the man to meet him at the store parking lot to purchase a vehicle from him. The man exchanged the money for the vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene and the vehicle was gone from the parking lot. The man tried to call the suspect and there was no answer. A follow-up form and a Marsy\u2019s card was provided to the man.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 False Pretenses<br \/>\n2:05pm<br \/>\n00 Forest Side Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to file a fraud report. The man stated that he received a phone call claiming that he won a high-valued prize and was told to deposit certain amount of money to the suspect\u2019s bank account before he receive the prize. Sometimes later, the man received the same phone call and deposited money into the suspect\u2019s bank account. A case number and a follow up form were provided to the man.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting<br \/>\n11:26am<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a local store regarding a shoplifter. Upon arrival at the store, the officers met with the store\u2019s Loss Prevention Agent who stated that a suspect had stolen certain items from the store and had walked pass several operating cash registers without making an attempt to pay for the items. The suspect was then stopped by two Loss Prevention Agents. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was placed under arrest and cited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to Vehicle<br \/>\n11:03am<br \/>\n2000 Cecilia Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a dispatch call regarding vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer was approached by a man and who stated that his vehicle was parked at night and was damaged upon returning in the morning after. The man mentioned that he had numerous reports regarding his vehicle being vandalized. A case number and an additional loss form were provided to the man.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraudulent Use of Credit Card<br \/>\n10:15am<br \/>\n1000 16th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to file a fraud report. The man stated that upon opening his credit card statement, he discovered unauthorized purchases were made by an unknown suspect. He also stated that he did not make any of these purchases and did not give anyone permission to make the purchases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money or Property<br \/>\n2:36pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a call regarding a fraud case. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with a woman and she stated that she received a phone call and was asked for personal information. The woman did not disclose any of her information to the suspect and stated that she received a phone call from her bank and was told that someone tried to use her account. The woman terminated her bank account to prevent further incidents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraudulent Use of Credit Card<br \/>\n2:40pm<br \/>\n2000 24th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report fraud. She stated that there was a few fraudulent transactions made on her account. She went to the bank and learned that an unknown suspect had obtained her account number and made several fraudulent transactions. The woman stated she did not make these transactions and did not give permission to anyone to make the transactions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money or Property<br \/>\n3:17pm<br \/>\n2000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report fraud. She stated that her vehicle was burglarized sometimes ago and she had received a cellular bill in the mail for services that she did not sign up for. She stated that she did not open any account with the mobile company and did not give permission to anyone to open the account using her name and credit information. Upon the officer\u2019s arrival, a woman approached the officer and stated that her vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle. The officer spoke with the driver who struck the woman\u2019s vehicle and the driver stated that his license was expired. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was cited and released at the scene. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY, JANUARY 25, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Under Construction \u2013 Forced Entry<br \/>\n3:48 pm<br \/>\n2500 44th Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were dispatched to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a woman who stated that her residence had been broken into and the workers who were working on the home had items stolen from the home. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met by a woman who stated that she remembered locking and securing her doors before going to bed. When she woke up in the morning she noticed that her backyard door was ajar. The woman stated that she left some U.S. currency on her coffee table and noticed that it was missing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft From Building &#8211; Bicycle<br \/>\n9:51 am<br \/>\n1400 8th Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer was dispatched to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving to the scene the officer was met by a woman who stated that an unknown suspect stole her unlocked bicycle from inside the buildings garage. The woman stated that she last saw her bicycle inside the garage in the evening and upon returning to the garage in the morning the bicycle was missing. The woman never gave anyone permission to take the bicycle from the garage area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism To Vehicle<br \/>\n10:38 am<br \/>\n2400 21st Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came to Taraval Station to report vandalism done his vehicle. The man stated that he parked his vehicle in front of his house in the evening and upon returning to his vehicle in the morning he discovered that his driver side tires had been slashed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism To Vehicle<br \/>\n2:52 pm<br \/>\nTapia Drive &amp; Serrano Drive<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came to Taraval Station to report that his vehicle had been vandalized. The man stated he parked and locked his vehicle in the morning. Upon returning to his vehicle in the afternoon he discovered that an unknown suspect made a key like scratch on the driver side door. Upon arriving on the scene the officers was met by a man who stated that he noticed his front door was kicked in. He did not enter the house because he was afraid. A building search was conducted by the officers, who noticed the house has been ransacked and items were moved in the home. The officers and the man conducted a walkthrough of the home and the man was unable to verify if any items were missing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burglary-Hot Prowl-Forcible Entry<br \/>\n4:02 pm<br \/>\n00 Farallones St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving on the scene officers met with a man who stated he left his home in the afternoon and returned home in the evening and noticed his front door open and lock broken. The man then noticed property in the house was ransacked and scattered everywhere. Upon arriving on the scene, the officers met with a man who said he left his house in the morning, and upon returning in the afternoon. The man noticed the front gate was open and garage area was ransacked. Certain items were missing, the point of entry and point of exit was the front door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money or Property<br \/>\n2:00pm<br \/>\n2300 24th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came to Taraval station to report an unauthorized mobile phone account open in his name. The man received a letter from a collection agency with an outstanding balance from the phone company. The man stated he did not authorize or personally open an account with the mobile phone company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraudulent or Misuse of a Debit Card<br \/>\n1:14pm<br \/>\n1700 8th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval station and made a report regarding the misuse of her debit card. She informed me that she opened up a joint checking account with another woman to pay for youth organization activities. The suspect made several fraudulent transactions, and the woman froze the account to prevent further incidents.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Black Female, 5\u20191\u201d, 226 lbs, 21 years old, tattoo on right wrist of Jesus, and tattoo on left leg of a cross and rosary beads. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money or Property<br \/>\n4:22pm<br \/>\n2400 24th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval station to report fraud. The man received a call from a local stores credit service, which informed him that someone was trying to open a card under his name. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with a woman, who stated that an unknown suspect grabbed her belonging at an earlier time when she was attempting to enter her home. Upon the officers\u2019 arrival at the scene, a woman approached the officers and stated that an unknown suspect had attempted to rob the woman\u2019s belonging as she was heading home. She told the suspect that she had no money and the suspect ran away and she quickly walked home. She later stated that an item was missing and the suspect is unknown. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect: Male, 5\u20196,\u201d 150 lbs, LSW: dark hooded sweatshirt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Robbery with Gun<br \/>\n12:27pm<br \/>\n1000 8th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a robbery with a gun at a local store. Upon the officer\u2019s arrival at the scene, the officers met with an injured man who stated that while he was helping out with an unknown suspect, two unknown suspects had entered the store and demanded ransom. Suspect two approached the man and injured him, and then he pointed a gun at the man and demanded him to open up the cash register. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer approached and stated that a man had secured his home after finished renovating his home. After that day, an unknown suspect had damaged his home\u2019s front gate to enter his home. Upon entering his home, the suspect took several items and fled the scene from the garage door. The point of entry for the suspect was the front gate and front door and the exit point was the garage door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n11:46am<br \/>\n1000 Ocean Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a residence regarding a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met with a woman and stated that items were stolen from the storage room. She stated that the surveillance was captured in the storage room and it displayed the suspect stealing the items.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n11:53am<br \/>\n00 Rockaway Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were dispatched to a residence regarding a burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers observed that a window had been broken on the back door by an unknown suspect. The door was closed and unlocked, which led to a garage. The officers searched the garage and were contacted by the homeowner. The homeowner stated that he left the home secured and locked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Unlawful Entry, Theft from Unlocked Vehicle<br \/>\n12:51pm<br \/>\n2000 Great Highway<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a residence regarding a burglary. Upon the officer\u2019s arrival, a man stated to the officer that his wife noticed the garage door was opened after she had come back from her morning. The man went to investigate his garage and noticed his parked vehicle was unlocked. Certain items were stolen from the vehicle and their garage and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The point of entry and exit were the garage door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residence Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n4:17pm<br \/>\n100 Josiah Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform and driving a marked police vehicle were dispatched to a report of a residential burglary. Upon the officers\u2019 arrival, the officers met a woman and a man and the woman stated that she had left the home locked and secured in the morning. The man stated that when he returned home later the day, he found that the front gate and front door had been open and damaged. Certain items were missing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft From Building<br \/>\n3:03pm<br \/>\n1000 Holloway Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came to Taraval Station to report that her purse and all its contents were stolen from her during class. The woman discovered her purse was missing from her backpack after she got home.
