Shoplifting \u2013 Warrant Arrest – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n11:07 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n1100 Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The witness, a loss prevention employee, observed the suspect take merchandise and walk out of the store without paying for it. The witness also recognized the suspect, who had a previous history of taking items without paying for them. Responding officers detained the suspect and a computer check revealed an arrest warrant for the suspect. <\/span>The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assault<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n1100 Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of an assault. The victim, a manager at the supermarket, reported that she had been in the store’s loading area when she heard yelling and observed the suspect sitting in a vehicle that was blocking the delivery area. The victim approached the suspect and asked him to move but the suspect angrily refused. The victim informed the suspect that she was going to notify the police and attempted to take a photo of the suspect’s license plate but the suspect hastily put his vehicle in reverse and narrowly missed hitting the victim with it. The suspect then fled the area. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Theft \u2013 Assault<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n2600 Sloat Blvd<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of a theft. The victim reported that she had been sitting outside of a store with her laptop on the table but left it to get some water for her dog. During her absence, a suspect suddenly approached the table and snatched the laptop before fleeing immediately into a waiting vehicle. The victim attempted to stop the theft and tried to open the vehicle’s passenger door but the vehicle struck the victim’s leg and fled the area. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
