Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a loss prevention detective who stated that earlier one of her employees advised her of the suspect\u2019s suspicious behavior. The loss prevention detective observed the suspect take store merchandise from the display and then place the merchandise into his bag. The suspect passed all open manned registers without making any attempt to pay for the store merchandise. The officer conducted a computer check and discovered that the suspect was on active parole and on active felony probation. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer booked the suspect for robbery, multiple prior convictions of theft, and violating conditions of his supervision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Battery \u2013 Malicious Mischief \u2013 Street Cars<br \/>\n10:27 pm<br \/>\nRandolph Street &amp; Bright Street<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a battery call on a Muni driver. Upon arriving to the scene, the officers met a man who identified himself as the Muni LRV driver. The man stated that he noticed an unknown suspect, who he recognized as a regular, board his LRV. The suspect started a conversation with other passengers on the vehicle about a past argument between the driver and a female passenger. As the train stopped, the suspect approached the door that divides the Muni LRV driver and pulled up the window causing it to shatter. The suspect then struck the Muni LRV driver several times through the damaged divider.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Asian male, 6\u20190\u201d, 25-30 years old, 170 lbs, black hair. LSW: A white shirt, white pajamas, and had a ponytail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Attempted Assault \u2013 Non-Aggravated<br \/>\n2:30pm<br \/>\n1000 Randolph St<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report an attempted assault. The woman stated to the officers that one night one of her roommates was having friends over, but got too loud. When she asked for her roommate to keep the noise down, her intoxicated roommate started an argument with her. The argument became violent and her roommate attempted to strike her. A person at the residence separated the two roommates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warrant Arrest &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n8:48am<br \/>\n00 Sadowa St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a possible altercation. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers spoke with a woman who stated that there was an argument between her and one of her roommates. During the argument, the woman held a knife, but never used it to threaten the suspect. The officers ran a computer check on the both subjects and discovered that there were two outstanding warrants for the suspect\u2019s arrest. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officers transported the suspect to country jail where she was booked on the warrants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud \u2013 Forged checks<br \/>\n8:43pm<br \/>\n2000 Sloat Blvd<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report a fraud involving a forged check. The man is an employee of a business and a potential client contacted him. The client sent the employee a check, and the employee deposited the check into his bank account. The next day, the client contacted the employee to cancel the transaction and get his money back. Later, the employee\u2019s bank contacts him to notify him that the original check he received from the potential client was a fraudulent check.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n3:19pm<br \/>\n1000 46th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report a suspicious occurrence. The woman stated that when she returned home, she discovered that an unknown suspect urinated and defecated on her driveway. The woman stated that this type of incident occurs with increasing frequency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Unlocked Vehicle \u2013 Possession With Knowledge of Stolen Property &#8211; Arrested<br \/>\n11:32 am<br \/>\n2000 34th Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came to Taraval Station to report items being stolen from his vehicle. The man stated that he left his vehicle unlocked outside of his home and when he went out to his vehicle he noticed his backpack was missing from the vehicle. The man stated that by using the \u201cfind my device\u201d application he was able to ping the location of the device. Officers responded to the scene of where the device was and found the suspect in the home. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer seized the device and detained the suspect. The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving Without A Valid Driver\u2019s License \u2013 No Front License Plate &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n1:12 pm<br \/>\nGrafton Ave and Victoria<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer driving a marked patrol vehicle in full police uniform observed a vehicle with no front license plate. The officer affected a traffic stop on the vehicle and approached the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle identified himself and stated that he did not have a valid driver\u2019s license. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was cited for driving without a valid driver\u2019s license and for not having a front license plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Unlocked Vehicle<\/strong><br \/>\n11:32am\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2000 34th Ave 2008\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Black Mercedes Benz R350<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDAY, MARCH 28, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting<br \/>\n4:32 pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a theft. Upon arriving to the scene the officer was met by a man who is the assistant manager of the store. The man stated that he observed three unknown females enter the store. The man went about his work and as he stood on the other side of the store, he saw the unknown females grab several shirts near the stores entrance and put them into their handbags.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Black Female, 5\u20196\u201d, 130 lbs, between the ages of 20 \u2013 25 years old, black hair, brown eyes, LSW: black shirt, black\/tan patterned skirt, sunglasses, shoulder length hair, brown purse.<br \/>\nSuspect 2: Black Female, 5\u20196\u201d, 130 lbs, between the ages of 20 \u2013 25 years old, black hair, brown eyes, LSW: white\/black patterned shirt, gray skirt, black shoes.<br \/>\nSuspect 3: Black Female, 5\u20198\u201d, 140 lbs, between the ages of 20 \u2013 25 years old, black hair, brown eyes, LSW: grey track suit with \u201cPINK\u201d inscribed on back, grey sweatpants, black handbag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism \u2013 Graffiti<br \/>\n9:38 am<br \/>\n1200 Great Highway<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded graffiti related vandalism. Upon arriving to the scene the officers were met by a woman. The woman stated that there was graffiti all over the building on different walls. The last time the woman saw the walls undamaged was the day before.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to Property<br \/>\n8:24 pm<br \/>\n100 Huntington Drive<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a vandalism incident. Upon arriving to the scene the officers were met by a man who stated an unknown suspect vandalized the front door of his home. The last time the man saw the door undamaged was the night before.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Death Report<br \/>\n3:49 pm<br \/>\n00 Josepha Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of an unresponsive\u00a0person at their residence. A worker of the residence went into the residence to install detectors, and discovered the body. Police and medical personnel were shortly contacted thereafter. They pronounced the person deceased at the scene. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers spoke to a man who stated that his roommate notified him that he found his significant other\u2019s laptop at a public setting. The man went back to his residence and discovered the front door was opened. After he went to his room, the man found several of his personal belongings were missing. No one was inside the residence when it was burglarized. The officers observed no damage to the front door and determined the point of entry and exit was through the front door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Burglary \u2013 Unlawful Entry \u2013 Shoplifting \u2013 Cited<br \/>\n1:30pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with a loss prevention detective who stated that earlier she observed the suspect take several store merchandise and place them into her purse. The suspect then passed all manned cash registers without paying and attempted to exit the building. The officer conducted a computer search and discovered that in the past the suspected was convicted for multiple theft related offenses. The suspected was also on active felony probation and listed as a missing person. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer booked the suspect for burglary, violating probation, and multiple prior convictions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Investigation<br \/>\n12:48pm<br \/>\n300 Garces Dr<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were dispatched to a miscellaneous investigation. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that when she returned to her residence she discovered a key in the lock to her front door. When she tried the key, it turned the lock freely. The woman stated to the officer that the key did not belong to her.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud \u2013 Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards \u2013 Theft from an Unlocked Vehicle<br \/>\n3:05pm<br \/>\n1000 Great Highway<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report a fraud and theft. The man stated to the officers that when he returned to his parked vehicle, he discovered that an unknown suspect had stolen several of his personal belongings. The man then reported his stolen cards to his credit card companies and bank. He discovered that an unknown suspect attempted to use his credit and debit cards to make several purchases. The officer recognized the man and knew there were outstanding warrants for his arrest. The officer detained the man and confirmed that there were outstanding warrants for his arrest. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer arrested and booked the man for the warrant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Investigation \u2013 Discharged Firearm<br \/>\n7:20pm<br \/>\n20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of shots fired. The officers spoke to several witnesses whom stated that they heard three gunshots behind them and when they turned around they observed a moving vehicle with a driver and passenger. One of the unknown man\u2019s his right hand was sticking out the passenger side window and holding a black handgun. No person who the officers spoke to reported any injuries.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Black male, 18-20 years old. She stated that an individual fraudulently used her checks with a false name and made fraudulent payments to multiple people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money<br \/>\n10:57pm<br \/>\n2000 26th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA wman came into Taraval Station to report a fraud. She told the officers an individual called her stating that she won the lottery and would be receiving the prize in the form of checks. The individual told her to deposit the checks and transfer the money to a list of individuals. When the woman received the check, she became suspicious because the check was a personal check and showed no relation with the California State Lotto. The woman did not deposit the check.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence \u2013 Vehicle Tampering<br \/>\n6:18pm<br \/>\n2000 Santiago St<\/strong><br \/>\nA man went to Taraval Station to report a suspicious occurrence. The man stated to the officers that an unknown suspect had tampered with his vehicle\u2019s electrical system. He also told the officers that the same incident happened to his roommate\u2019s vehicle and that there was a police report filed previously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Investigative Detention &#8211; Muni<br \/>\n21:49<br \/>\n19th Ave and Holloway Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform and in a marked patrol vehicle responded to a possible man with a knife on a bus. The officers spoke with a bus driver who told the officers that he was informed by a colleague that a person known to cause problems was about to get on the bus. The driver stated that the suspected person threatened to stab him because he would not let him on the bus due to the fact that he had no proof of payment. The officers later were able to locate the suspect and detain him. The officers released the suspect after they were unable to locate a weapon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Death Report<br \/>\n10:28pm<br \/>\n1900 30th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were dispatched to the scene of a death occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met with the victim\u2019s acquaintance. The acquaintance stated that she was notified by the victim\u2019s delivery service that the victim was unable to open the door for the delivery. The acquaintance also told the officers that he went to check on the victim however he was unable to gain entry to the building so he called for SFFD for help. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the Director of Security who stated that an acquaintance notified him of a man planning to steal from a department store. The director then informed the loss prevention team. A loss prevention employee observed a man, who matched the description, enter the dressing room with a backpack and store merchandises. The man left the room, walked past all open sales registers, and exited the store without paying. The loss prevention employee stopped and detained the man. The officer conducted a computer check and discovered the detained man had prior convictions for theft and burglary. The man also was on court probation. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer booked the man for burglary in the second degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aided Case<br \/>\n12:10pm<br \/>\n00 Westgate Dr<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to the request of SFFD. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with the victim\u2019s mother who stated that earlier as the victim walked on the front steps, she fell through. The officer then spoke to a building inspector who informed the officer that there were signs of rot and water intrusion on the front porch. The victim did not have any apparent injuries and a medic transported her to a medical center for further evaluation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous \u2013 Firearm Turned In<br \/>\n1:52pm<br \/>\n100 West Portal Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a scene where a man was turning in a firearm. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the manager of the business who informed him that when they seized and opened a box, they discovered a firearm and ammunition inside. The manager provided the officer the contract between the business and customer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n11:42am<br \/>\n100 Winston Dr<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report a suspicious occurrence. The man stated to the officer that he was studying at the library, and noticed another man following him and giving him strange looks. The suspect stopped following the man after he exited the library. The man stated that the incident has been occurring for several years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving With a Suspended License \u2013 Using a Cell Phone While Driving &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n7:00pm<br \/>\nIrving and 10th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers observed a man talking on his cell phone while driving. The officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and contacted the driver. The officers detained a possible suspect near the escene. Meanwhile, another officer met a woman who stated that when she went downstairs to get items out from her dryer she noticed the light in the garage area was on. As she reached for the light switch she noticed the suspect who ran out the backdoor. The woman stated she would participate in a cold show and she was transported to the scene where the suspect was detained. The woman positively identified the suspect as the one who was in her house because she recognized him by his hairstyle, clothing, his posture and stance. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n6:23pm<br \/>\n1000 Irving Street<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle when they responded to the scene regarding a shoplifting report. Upon arriving to the scene the officers were met by a security guard who stated that he directed his attention to a man because he entered the premises intoxicated. The man was loud and obnoxious to customers and picked up a item off the shelf and put it into his pants pocket. The man then walked past all open and manned registers without making an attempt to pay for the item. The security guard followed the man outside into the parking lot where he identified himself and detained the man. The security guard then brought the man back into the security office and contacted the police. A citizen\u2019s arrest formed was signed. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was cited for shoplifting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money<br \/>\n6:14pm<br \/>\n1300 29th Avenue<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came to Taraval Station to report fraud. The woman stated that she received a phone call confirming her billing address for a new credit card. She also received another phone call the next day from a store confirming her billing address for a new credit card. She discovered that an unknown suspect was using her name, address, phone number, and social security number to open multiple credit cards.
