\nA witness reported that she had noticed a vehicle suspiciously stop in front of the house before hearing banging sounds coming from inside the house before reporting a possible burglary in progress. Responding officers arrived at the location and detained two suspects who were walking away from the house and towards the vehicle. One of the suspects stated that he had been attempting to retrieve his cell phone, which had been left behind at the location by an ex-girlfriend during a party. The suspect stated that he had walked up to the house and through an open door before taking something that had been on the floor inside. The victim reported that his house had been burglarized a few days ago and that a cell phone had been left behind during the incident.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0After further investigation, <\/span>the suspect was cited for petty theft and possession of methamphetamine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe victim stated that he was fearful of the suspect, who had been intoxicated and playing with a knife, and told him that he was going to call the police. The suspect, his brother, angrily responded by punching the victim before running out of the building. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
