Attempted Robbery<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n00 Caine Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of an incident of attempted robbery. The victim reported that she had just walked outside when the suspect suddenly appeared and attempted to yank her backpack off of her. A struggle ensued and a second suspect exited a waiting vehicle to help the first suspect but both suspects. After both suspects were unsuccessful in stealing the victim’s property, they entered their vehicle and immediately fled the area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Traffic Violation \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\nSadowa St & Capitol Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers were on patrol in the area when they observed a vehicle with a stolen license plate that did not match the vehicle. The officers conducted a traffic stop which revealed a second license plate which had not been reported stolen but it also did not match the vehicle.<\/span>\u00a0After further investigation, <\/span>the driver was cited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Battery \u2013 Warrant Arrest \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n4:00 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nPlymouth Ave & Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that the suspect had been across the street when he began calling the victim names and demanding that the victim leave the suspect’s country. The victim attempted to find a common ground with the suspect but an argument ensued about racism and attacks on Asian Americans. The suspect then suddenly punched and kneed the victim before walking away. Responding officers located the suspect and a computer check revealed three arrest warrants.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attempted Theft from a Vehicle \u2013 Assault<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n1:58 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n35th Ave & Yorba<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nOfficers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that he had been inside when he heard the his mom’s car alarm activate. The victim went to investigate and observed the suspect standing beside the vehicle’s window, which was broken. The victim attempted to confront the suspect who immediately entered his vehicle. The suspect then hit and knocked the victim to the ground with his vehicle before driving around the victim and running over the victim’s foot.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
