Upon arrival to scene, he met with an employee of the burglarized shop. The employee stated that while he was at work he was called to meet an ex-employee somewhere and he did. Upon the employee\u2019s return to the shop, he noticed that some items were missing from the shop and stated that it might have been a distraction. The officer determined that the suspect entered the shop using a key and the owner was notified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Building<br \/>\n1:42 pm<br \/>\n1000 25th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOffices responded to a report of theft. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers met with the victim. The victim stated that he left his personal belongings unsecured in a shared garage. At a later time he noticed his belongings missing, and his front gate open. The officer observed no forced entry and gave the victim a follow up form and a Marcy\u2019s card.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft with Prior Conviction \u2013 Possession of Narcotics<br \/>\n2:35 pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of shoplifting at a department store. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers met with a loss prevention associate. The loss prevention associates observed a suspect grabbing multiple items and walk out of the store passing attended registers. The loss prevention associates proceeded to stop the suspect and found an illegal substance on him. The officers arrested the suspect and found out that he has multiple prior convictions. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The suspected was taken to the Taraval station and booked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting<br \/>\n7:11 pm<br \/>\n100 West Portal Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of theft. Upon arrival to the scene, the officers met with an employee of the store. The employee stated that he noticed a man in the store being suspicious and saw an item in his hoodie pocket. The employee confronted the suspect and the suspect ran out of the store. The officers conducted a perimeter search with no results. The officers provided the employee with a follow up form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud<br \/>\n4:40 pm<br \/>\n2000 San Jose Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of a fraud incident. Upon arrival to the scene they met with the victim and a social worker who works with the victim. The social worker stated that a man who is doing construction on the victim\u2019s residence possibly tried to take out money from the victim\u2019s bank accounts and was not permitted by the victim. The social worker was notified from the bank to confirm the amounts. The officers took pictures of the residence for evidence and gave the victim and social worker follow-up forms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prohibited Turn \u2013 Suspended\/Revoked License \u2013 Cited<br \/>\n5:14 pm<br \/>\n9th Ave and Lincoln Way<\/strong><br \/>\nWhile on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal turn. The officer conducted a traffic stop and a computer check of the driver. The computer check revealed that the driver\u2019s license was suspended. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met one of the owners of the building who stated that earlier his alarm company notified him that a motion detector activated. When the owner arrived at the building, he conducted an inventory check and discovered that the suspect stole several store merchandises. The officer found tools at the scene that the suspect may have used to smash the front glass door. The owner stated that the tools did not belong to him and were not sold at the store. The officer determined the possible point of entry and exit was through the front shattered glass door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Unlawful Entry<br \/>\n6:06 am<br \/>\n1000 41st Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a resident who stated that the suspect stole several personal belongings from the house. The woman had hired a contractor who she believes knew when she was away from the house and seemed to act suspicious when she spoke to him. The officer examined the scene and did not observe any signs of forced entry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Unlawful Entry<br \/>\n5:53 pm<br \/>\n00 Lakewood Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that she returned to her residence to discover several doors broken and opened. The suspect stole various personal belongings and money. The officer met one of the woman\u2019s roommates who stated that when he returned to the residence, he discovered one of the bedroom windows opened. The officers determined that the point of entry was through the opened bedroom window.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 False Pretenses<br \/>\n2:55 pm<br \/>\n1000 30th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report a theft. The man stated to the officer that earlier a suspect approached him asking for directions to a church. The suspect wanted to donate a large sum of money to the church before leaving the country. The victim offered to drive the suspect to a hotel. As they were driving, they picked up another man. The suspect offered to give both men money to give to charity if they showed their trustworthiness by withdrawing all their money out of their bank. The victim drove both men to a bank where the two men withdrew money. The suspect asked for each man to stand on the sidewalk while he drove around. After the victim handed over his money and drove around the block, he returned to discover both men missing.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: White male, 5\u20199\u201d, 52-57 years old. Might be Arab, had a pocked marked face. LSW: Floppy hat, light-colored clothing, wire framed glasses (the lenses part was frameless).<br \/>\nSuspect 2: Black male, 5\u20199\u201d, 28-34 years old, black hair. LSW: Dark-colored suede jacket and dark pants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting<br \/>\n5:57 pm<br \/>\n3000 Taraval St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a theft. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the manager of the store who stated that his clerk notified him that a suspect walked into the building, took several items, and left the store without paying. The manager stated that there was a video of the incident.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect: Asian male, 5\u20198\u201d, 35-40 years old, 180 lbs. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers spoke to the manager of the restaurant who stated that the suspect came into the building and begun acting very aggressively towards the customers. When the manager asked the suspect to leave, the suspect yelled at her and kicked the front glass door. The suspect smashed the front glass door when he kicked it. The manager signed a citizen\u2019s arrest form for the suspect.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officers cited the suspect for breaking windows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence \u2013 Roommate Dispute<br \/>\n2:18 pm<br \/>\n100 Bright St<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that when he returned home, one of his housemates confronted him holding a knife. The man and his housemate got into a couple of scuffles and heated arguments. There were no injuries to either men, and neither wanted to pursue further police action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Death Report<br \/>\n12:06 am<br \/>\n1000 40th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a death report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the caregiver of the deceased man. He stated to the officer that when he came to check on the man, he found him lying on the floor unresponsive. The man was unconscious, not breathing, and his body was cold to the touch. The caregiver stated that the man had failing health and was taking numerous prescriptions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stolen Vehicle<\/strong><br \/>\n10:40 am\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 21st Ave and Moraga St\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1995 Blue Honda Accord<\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY, June 7, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 False Pretenses \u2013 Impersonating a Police Officer<br \/>\n4:39 pm<br \/>\n500 Crestlake Dr<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report a theft. The man stated to the officer that the suspect called him on the phone\u00a0as a police officer. The suspect informed the man that he failed to appear for a jury summons and missed a subsequent court date. The suspect then stated that a warrant was issued for the man\u2019s arrest, but he could pay a fine and appear at court to clear his warrant. He instructed the man to purchase prepaid cards with money and to read off the prepaid card codes to him. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that an unknown suspect damaged a piece of her property. The officers observed what appeared to be pry marks on her property.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to Property<br \/>\n11:05 am<br \/>\n2000 37th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of vandalism to property. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that earlier he heard sounds similar to rocks being thrown against the side of a house. When the man went out to investigate the noise, he noticed several cracked light bulbs and damage to the side of his house. The man also found BBs at the scene.<br \/>\nSuspect: Asian male, 5\u20196\u201d, 145 lbs, black hair, brown eyes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Breaking Windows with a BB Gun<br \/>\n2:11 pm<br \/>\n2000 27th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to reports of a broken window. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that the large window of her shed was smashed and the small window had small holes in it. The officers determined that both windows were likely broken by a BB gun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n7:22 am<br \/>\n1000 Funston Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that an unknown suspect hacked into her computer. A man called her stating that she was compromised, and he would transfer her over to the security unit. The call was transferred to another man who instructed her to log into her account so he could scan for viruses. The man then informed her he could clean and protect her computer for a fee. After paying the fee, the woman felt she was being scammed. She was unable to contact to man again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with a Suspended License \u2013 Driving with an Obstructed License Plate &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n5:20 pm<br \/>\n7th Ave and Irving St<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer observed a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. The man stated while he was shopping, an unknown suspect opened his bag and took his property. The man was advised by security to file a police report to obtain a video footage of the incident.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting<\/strong><br \/>\n11:31 am<br \/>\n000 West Portal Ave<br \/>\nOfficers responded to a shoplifting incident. The victims told the officers that the suspect went inside the store, grabbed their merchandise and walked out without making any attempt to pay.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect: African American Male, age 30 \u2013 35, 6\u20192, approximately 140 pounds. LSW: Black jacket, black shorts, and purple wig with a brown messenger bag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving With Suspended Drivers License &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n8:56 pm<br \/>\nSunset Blvd and Sloat Blvd<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers in full uniform and in a marked unit observed a vehicle with non-functional brake lights. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver by his driver license. A computer search revealed that the driver\u2019s license was suspended. The victims told the officers that they left their residence locked, however when they returned to their home the door was open and the lights were on. As the victims searched their house, they discovered that some of their belongings were missing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft From Building<br \/>\n3:08 pm<br \/>\n2000 16th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a lost property incident. The victim told the officers that he had his property previously in his bedroom; however he no longer was able to find it. The victim also told the officers only one other person had access to his room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft<br \/>\n8:09 pm<br \/>\nWest Portal Ave and Ulloa St<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came to Taraval Station to report her property stolen. The woman stated that she noticed her property missing while she was on the bus. She found an unknown suspect take her property. Upon arrival the victim showed the officers two windows with holes that the suspect damaged. The damage to the window was not large enough for the suspect to gain entry into the building.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Tire Slashing<br \/>\n5:18 pm<br \/>\nTaraval St and Forest Side Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came to Taraval Station to report malicious mischief. The woman told the officer that she left her vehicle parked on a public street and later discovered her tires were punctured. She also told the officer that this was not the first time her tires were punctured and slashed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief &#8211; Vandalism to Property<br \/>\n7:55 pm<br \/>\n1000 24th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer was dispatched to a residential vandalism incident. The officers were provided evidence that the suspect was embezzling funds for two years of employment. The witness provided pay stubs and checks written in the suspect\u2019s name. The victim showed officers the credit card statement for the month noting the unknown charge from an online store that the victim did not make. The store did not release shipping information to victim due to privacy policy. Officers arrived on the scene and met with the reportee stated that a caregiver had pinched the ear of the victim. The reportee stated that the victim has dementia and upon the victims questioning, stated that she does not remember being pinched. The reportee was provided with a follow up form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with a Suspended License \u2013 Driving With a Nonfunctional Brake Lamp &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n9:55 pm<br \/>\nSunset and Pacheco<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers noticed a vehicle with a in-op break lamp and conducted a traffic stop. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a woman who stated that she awoke from her sleep to discover that a suspect ransacked her home and stole several of her personal belongings. She also saw a damaged window in the kitchen. The officer examined the scene and noticed that the screen to the kitchen window was removed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warrant Arrest<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>11:55 am<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>500 Head St<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Officers responded to a warrant arrest. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that earlier the homeowner became agitated and called the police. The homeowner claimed that the woman hit him, but the woman stated that during their verbal altercation there was no physical violence. The officers conducted an assessment of the scene and determined there was no merit to the homeowner\u2019s statement. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met an employee of the store who stated that he observed the suspect placed multiple store merchandises into a bag. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that before he entered a building, he left his bicycle unsecured on the sidewalk. When he later exited the store, he noticed his bicycle was missing. He then saw another man, who riding his bicycle, fall down. When he went to retrieve his bicycle, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that she returned to her home to discover that there was damage to her property. She stated to the officer that when she returned to her vehicle, she discovered that a suspect punctured all four of the tires of her vehicle. The woman believes that her landlord is responsible for the vandalism because he is trying to intimidate her into moving out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miscellaneous Investigation \u2013 Cited <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>9:15 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>700 Font Blvd <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An officer responded to a miscellaneous investigation. The officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for a posted stop sign. The officer stopped the vehicle and noticed the vehicle had US Consul License plates. When he returned to his residence, he discovered that his roommate transferred the title of his vehicle to her name by forging his name onto a DMV transfer of title form. The man attempted to have his roommate return his vehicle, but failed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>False Personation to Receive Money or Property<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>4:41 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1000 30<sup>th<\/sup> Ave<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A man came into Taraval Station to report fraud. He stated to the officer that a collections company for a cell phone corporation contacted him about a suspect who opened an account under his name. The suspect did not pay for the cell phone services for a year. The man stated that he did not open an account or give anyone permission to use his name to open an account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol &#8211; Arrest<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1:03 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>00 Lincoln Way<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Officers observed a vehicle moving in a jerking manner. The vehicle crossed the driving line and narrowly missed hitting parked vehicles. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and noticed that the driver exhibited signs of intoxication.
