Upon arrival\u00a0at the scene, officers were met with the victim who described to the officers how several electronic items were stolen from his residence. The unknown suspect appeared to enter the residence by breaking the front door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft of Property<br \/>\n12:15 pm<br \/>\n200 Lowell St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers at Taraval Station were contacted by a man to make a report of theft to his property. The man described to officers how he received notifications in the mail informing him he opened several new bank accounts, which he never authorized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud \u2013 False Personation<br \/>\n5:44 pm<br \/>\n2000 Lawton St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers at Taraval Station were contacted by a woman to make a report of personation fraud. The woman described to officers how she received notifications in the mail informing her she opened several new bank accounts, which she never authorized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with False Evidence of Vehicle Registration and a Suspended License &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n1:24 am<br \/>\n28th Ave and Taraval St<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a suspect\u2019s vehicle for driving through a stop sign without stopping. Upon investigation of the vehicle, the officer determined the vehicle was displaying false evidence of registration and the driver was driving with a suspended license. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The suspect was booked and cited for driving with false evidence of vehicle registration, driving with a suspended license, failing to stop at a stop sign, and having broken headlamps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with a Suspended License &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n7:57 pm<br \/>\n39th Ave and Judah St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving in the transit lane. Upon investigation of the vehicle, officers determined the driver was driving with a suspended license. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The suspect was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving illegally in the transit lane and released on scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with Expired Registration &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n10:30 pm<br \/>\nLincoln St and Great Highway<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the vehicle was displaying expired registration. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the owner of the residence who described discovering several items had been taken from his home. The front door was badly damaged, and appeared to be the point of entry and exit for the suspect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card<br \/>\n3:21 pm<br \/>\n2000 31st Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers at Taraval Station were approached by a woman to report fraudulent use of a credit card. The woman described how several transactions were made in Southern California that she did not authorize, and that the bank she belongs to advised her that her credit card information was most likely compromised.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n6:15 pm<br \/>\nBuckingham Way<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers at Taraval Station were approached by a woman to report a suspicious occurrence. The woman described walking to her residence on the sidewalk when she began suspecting a man in a vehicle was following her. The woman took out her cell phone to take a photo of the vehicle, and the vehicle drove away from her.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect #1: White, Male, between 45 and 55 years old. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met with an employee of the supermarket who described physically engaging with a shoplifting suspect at the supermarket. The suspect produced a folding knife, and the employee stopped the altercation. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot, leaving behind the items he was attempting to steal.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect #1: White, Male, blonde hair, 5\u20199\u201d, 165 lbs. LSW: Black hooded sweatshirt with green clover on the back, black khaki pants, and black shoes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary<br \/>\n6:49 pm<br \/>\n2000 Lincoln Way<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficer responded to a report of burglary at a residence. Upon arrival at the scene, officers met with a man who described discovering a suspect had taken various items from the residence. The man was watching the residence for his sister, the owner, who was out of town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting \u2013 Cited<br \/>\n6:41 pm<br \/>\n3000 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of shoplifting at a department store. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with department store employees who had detained an individual for attempting to shoplift several items. Officers investigated the woman and found several unpaid items from the store on her person. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The suspect was cited for misdemeanor theft and released on the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft \u2013 Shoplifting \u2013 Cited<br \/>\n8:04 pm<br \/>\n2000 Sloat Blvd<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of shoplifting at a supermarket. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with supermarket employees who had detained an individual for attempting to shoplift a bottle of alcohol. Officers questioned the suspect, who admitted to attempting to steal the alcohol for a party. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The suspect was cited for misdemeanor theft and released on the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief \u2013 Vandalism to a Vehicle<br \/>\n10:10 am<br \/>\n2000 Wawona St<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers at Taraval Station were approached by a man to report vandalism to his vehicle. The man described parking his car on the street during the night, and discovering the next morning that a window was broken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving without a Driver\u2019s License and Illegal Frontal Lighting \u2013 Cited<br \/>\n3:29 pm<br \/>\n19th Ave and Irving<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for using illegal frontal lighting. Upon investigation, the officer also discovered the driver of the vehicle was never issued a California driver\u2019s license. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The driver of the vehicle was cited for illegal frontal lighting on his vehicle and driving without an issued driver\u2019s license, and was released on scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Found Property<\/strong><br \/>\n5:41 pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ocean Ave<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Attempted Burglary \u2013 Hot Prowl<br \/>\n3:28 am<br \/>\n00 Chumasero Dr.<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a report of a hot prowl. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met with the victim. The victim stated that in the process of going to sleep, he saw a hand trying to open his bedroom window. He yelled out at the suspect and saw the suspect run away. Officers searched the area to no avail.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect: White, Male, 6\u20190\u201d, 140 lbs., blonde hair, and between the ages of 20 &#8211; 30. LSW: Tan or beige shirt, skinny blue jeans, short possibly curly blond hair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from a Person<br \/>\n6:11 pm<br \/>\n3200 20th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman went to the Taraval Station to report a theft of her personal belonging. She stated that she went to go eat and had her purse open. She stated that she didn\u2019t notice her personal belonging missing until a later time. An officer provided the victim with a follow-up form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from a Building<br \/>\n8:54 pm<br \/>\n1200 9th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a report of burglary. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the victim. The victim stated that her personal belonging was missing in her garage, where other tenants had access to it as well. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met with the victim. The victim stated that an unknown suspect had sprayed graffiti over the front of his residence. The victim stated that he had suspicion of a possible person. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met two women who stated that two suspects attempted to take their purses. The suspects were able to steal of the women\u2019s purse and personal belongings. They then fled the scene to a getaway vehicle.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Black, Male, 20-22 years old, 5\u201910\u201d, 175 lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes. LSW: Cornrows to shoulder, yellow-hooded jacket, and blue jeans.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 2: Black, Male, 20-22 years old, 5\u20194\u201d, 120 lbs, black hair, and brown eyes. LSW: \u201cBuzz\u201d haircut, black t-shirt, and dark complexion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Robbery with Force &#8211; Chain Store<br \/>\n5:05 pm<br \/>\n200 Winston Dr<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a robbery with force at a chain store. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met loss prevention officers who stated that the suspect took store merchandises and placed them into her bag. She then walked past several open and manned registers and left the store without paying. When the loss prevention agents followed attempted to detain her, another suspect stepped out of a vehicle and tried to separate the other suspect from the loss prevention officers. Both suspects got into the vehicle and fled the scene.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Black female, 25-29 years old, 5\u20199\u201d, 160 lbs, black hair. Has a tattoo on left side of neck.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 2: Black male, black hair. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n4:13 am<br \/>\n100 West Portal Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer responded to a commercial burglary with forcible entry. Prior to the officer\u2019s arrival at the scene, other officers already responded to an audible alarm at the location. The officers observed that the front door was pried open. The officer took over the scene and determined that the front door was the point of entry and exit. A store employee stated that store merchandises were missing and damaged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Residential Burglary \u2013 Forcible Entry<br \/>\n8:20 am<br \/>\n200 Kensington Way<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a residential burglary with forcible entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that earlier he locked and secured his house. When he later returned to his home, he discovered that a suspect opened and damaged the front door. Many of his tools were missing from inside his home. The officers determined that the point of entry was through the front door and the point of exit was through the garage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Building<br \/>\n7:53 pm<br \/>\n2000 16th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report a theft. She stated to the officer that her landlord is in the process of selling the house where her apartment is located and there were open houses for potential buyers. When she returned home after the last open house, she discovered that a suspect stole her personal belongings. The officer provided the women with a follow-up form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Unlocked Vehicle<\/strong><br \/>\n6:55 pm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 00 Middlefield Dr\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a02014 Gray Acura TLX<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief &#8211; Vandalism to Vehicle<br \/>\n8:54 am<br \/>\n00 Pacheco St<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report graffiti vandalism to the side of his vehicle. He stated to the officer that he returned to his parked vehicle to find that the driver side had been vandalized with graffiti. He also stated that the vandalism occurs periodically.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malicious Mischief &#8211; Vandalism to Vehicle<br \/>\n7:01 pm<br \/>\n1600 Lincoln Way<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report vandalism to his vehicle. The man stated he parked his car in a residential parking garage of his apartment building and when he returned found his side window broken. The man explained the garage door was broken and believes anyone could have opened it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud &#8211; Identity Theft<br \/>\n7:35 pm<br \/>\n2100 16th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report identity theft. The woman explained to the officer she received a phone call from a store asking about an account she had just opened. The woman stated she did not open the account and believes someone used her personal information to open the account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud &#8211; Identity Theft<br \/>\n8:06 pm<br \/>\n200 Pacheco<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a call of fraud. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met by the victim who stated he recently has been receiving bank statements from a bank. The man explained to the officers he had never opened an account and contacted the bank officials. The man did not experience any financial loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with a Suspended License &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n12:25 am<br \/>\nOcean Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA uniformed officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a nonfunctional head light. The officer approached and identified the driver. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met by the victim who stated an item was stolen from the garage of the building and a lock box was tampered. The woman described to the officers how several bank accounts were opened using her personal information, without her authorization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraud &#8211; False Personation<br \/>\n9:16 pm<br \/>\n900 Sargent Street<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report false personation. The man stated to the officer he received a phone call from someone impersonating a government official stating the man was qualified for a grant. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered the driver also possessed a suspended license. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and expired registration and released on scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with No Issued Drivers License &#8211; Traffic Collision &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n8:18 am<br \/>\nOcean Ave and Ashton<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a dispatch of a traffic collision in order to provide assistance. Upon arrival to the scene, officers found the man who had been shot and discovered that\u00a0an unknown suspect shot the man and stole his vehicle. Other items, including a wallet, were also taken from the victim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burglary<br \/>\n9:10 am<br \/>\n2600 Ocean Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a burglary call. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a manager stating several items from his office were missing. The man stated his office door was not damaged. The suspect fled the scene on foot.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Suspect 1: Female, White, 5\u20194\u201d, 120 lbs, between 25-35 years old, LSW: Long shoulder length green hair, dark jacket, knee brace on right knee, small black shoes, carrying two black bags and one brown bag.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Building<br \/>\n3:03 pm<br \/>\n1300 30th Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA man came into Taraval Station to report theft. The man stated he is a tenant and his landlord began renovations with two different contractors. The landlord gave both contractors keys to the property including the garage. The man realized his tools were missing from the garage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theft from Locked Vehicle<\/strong><br \/>\n11:24 am\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ocean Ave\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2011 Black Lincoln Continental<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vandalism to Vehicle<br \/>\n5:04 pm<br \/>\n200 Farallones Street<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers were approached by a woman wanting to report vandalism to her vehicle. The woman explained to the officers she parked her car in her driveway and the next morning noticed three of her tires were flat. The woman believes her tires to be cut with a knife.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vandalism &#8211; Breaking Windows<br \/>\n9:37 pm<br \/>\n800 Irving Street<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a vandalism call. Upon arriving to the scene, officers were met by the store owner stating the suspect broke his window. The suspect was detained in front of the store by the officers. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The man was cited and released at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Identity Theft<br \/>\n11:48 am<br \/>\n200 Dorantes Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nA woman came into Taraval Station to report identity theft. The woman stated she had received multiple letters from different banks about opening accounts. The woman explained no one has been successful in opening an account under her name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n2:37 pm<br \/>\n14th Ave and Cragmont Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that when she was at the park, she noticed a man she knew from his previous altercations with other people who walk at the park. Later she observed the man holding a shovel and shoveling dirt onto a section of grass. After the man left, she went to the area with shoveled dirt and saw numerous mothballs scattered throughout the dirt. She believes the man spread the mothballs in the dirt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspicious Occurrence<br \/>\n10:08 pm<br \/>\n2000 33rd Ave<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers responded to a suspicious occurrence. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that the suspect, claiming to be from the Department of Legal Affairs, left her a voicemail. The suspect threatened to take legal action if she did not return his phone call. When the woman did online research, she discovered that the suspect\u2019s phone number was used to attempt fraud on numerous other victims. The officers provided the woman with a follow-up form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sitting and Blocking the Public Sidewalk &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n4:10 pm<br \/>\n700 Irving St<\/strong><br \/>\nAn officer observed a man sitting and blocking the public sidewalk. A computer check revealed that the man had been previously issued a warning for sitting and blocking the public sidewalk. <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The officer cited and released him at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Driving with a Suspended License and Expired Registration &#8211; Cited<br \/>\n11:19 pm<br \/>\n17th Ave and Lincoln<\/strong><br \/>\nOfficers observed a vehicle in front of them with expired registration. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver.
