The trailer was needed by the Unit to ensure its horses can be properly and safely transported for various reasons. The event was held at the Mounted Unit\u2019s horse stables in the Golden Gate Park. Retired Deputy Chief M. Biel, Commander G. Tom, and Captain A. Mannix-commanding officer of SFPD Tactical Company that includes the Mounted Unit, praised the selfless donation by the members of the API Forum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Taraval\u2019s Captain Lum, who is the chairperson of the API Forum, was also present at the event. The API Forum was founded as an advisory group under the leadership of former Police Chief George Gasc\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Forum\u2019s membership is comprised of stakeholders in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities of San Francisco. For example, there are forum members who work in the media that serve the Asian-American communities.
