Shoplifting -Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. A Loss Prevention agent said that he observed a male wearing\u00a0sunglasses and carrying an empty Macy\u2019s bag while looking at purses. Loss Prevention observed the suspect select a\u00a0purse and put it into the empty shopping bag. The suspect exited\u00a0the store without paying for\u00a0the purse\u00a0and was\u00a0detained by Loss Prevention.\u00a0 The suspect was cited for shoplifting<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Assault<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 1500 Great Hwy<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim, a taxi driver, told officers that he had picked up two drunk people and was driving them to their requested destination.\u00a0\u00a0Upon arrival, the people exited\u00a0without paying for their taxi\u00a0service. The victim followed the suspect and\u00a0the suspect began punching the victim\u00a0in the face. The other person tossed money at the victim and both of them fled into the apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robbery \u2013 Pepper Spray<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 1400 La Playa St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim said that two suspects entered the apartment building’s lobby and were acting strange. Suddenly, one\u00a0of the suspects grabbed some mail packages and ran out of the building. The victim chased after the suspect\u00a0and the\u00a0suspect dropped the stolen packages. The second suspect came up to the victim and peppered spray the victim before both suspects fled the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n
