Assault – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 1:54 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 200 Orizaba Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a fight involving\u00a0a large knife. Officers arrived on scene and observed a victim bleeding from the side of his neck and a\u00a0suspect holding a machete. The officers immediately\u00a0ordered the suspect to drop the weapon\u00a0while\u00a0the\u00a0suspect spontaneously told the officers that he had cut the victim. The victim also verified\u00a0that\u00a0the suspect as the one who had cut him. The victim was transported to a hospital with an officer escort and was treated for a non life threatening injury. When medical staff deemed it acceptable for the officer to conduct an interview with the victim, the victim refused to provide any further information about the incident.<\/p>\n

The suspect reported to\u00a0the officers that he was inside the store stocking items when he received a phone call from an unknown number. Shortly after that, he heard some noises from outside at the iron gate. The suspect opened the door and saw the victim\u00a0and they\u00a0starting having an argument\u00a0before the\u00a0victim threatened to retrieve a gun from his vehicle. The suspect said that the victim walked to his vehicle and then walked back to the gate with his hands behind his back. The\u00a0suspect, fearful that\u00a0the victim did have\u00a0a gun, grabbed his own weapon\u00a0and struck the victim. The suspect told the officers that once he realized that he had cut the victim, he walked away from him and waited for the police. A search did not reveal a\u00a0gun at the location and after further investigation,\u00a0the suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chile neglect \u2013 Under the influence in a Public Place \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n Sloat Blvd & 45th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report\u00a0by a\u00a0citizen concerned\u00a0about\u00a0a woman, who appeared to be under the influence, with a young child in her care. An officer arrived on scene and located the suspect and child aboard a bus. As the officer approached the suspect, they observed that the\u00a0suspect\u00a0exhibited several\u00a0symptoms of alcoholic intoxication;\u00a0the suspect\u2019s eye lids appeared droopy and she appeared\u00a0unaware and uninterested in her surroundings. As the suspect exited\u00a0the bus, the officer noticed she was unsteady on her feet. Upon questioning, the\u00a0suspect admitted to the officer that she had been drinking and that the suspect was babysitting her niece. The officer also learned that the suspect was cited in January for committing the same offense. The suspect was arrested<\/span> and the child was taken to child protective services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Battery<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 100 Sadowa St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. The victim told the officer that she and the suspect were having an argument over the biological father of their child. The victim grabbed the child to leave\u00a0the house but this\u00a0prompted the suspect to also grab\u00a0the child from the victim\u2019s hand and pushed the victim on to the ground. A witness\u00a0at the scene convinced the\u00a0suspect to leave the child with the victim and suspect then fled the location.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trespassing \u2013 Warrant Arrest – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 2:15 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 1200 Great Highway<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a 911 hang up call. Officers arrived on scene and located the caller. The caller told the officer that two males broke into the restaurant by unscrewing the hinge on the door. Officer entered the property and located two suspects. A computer check on the suspects revealed that one of them had a warrant for his arrested. \u00a0The owner of the property requested\u00a0to press charges; one of the suspects was cited for trespassing and the second\u00a0suspect was arrested<\/span> for trespassing and warrant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Warrant Arrest \u2013 Under the Influence \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 3:33 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 800 Irving St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a drunken person in the area. Responding officers\u00a0located the suspect lying on the ground\u00a0observed\u00a0the suspect exhibiting multiple symptoms of alcoholic intoxication. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Robbery<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 5:33 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 1700 Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The witness, a store employee, told the officers that she observed the\u00a0suspect enter and walk around\u00a0store like a normal shopper but then noticed that\u00a0the\u00a0suspect placed\u00a0\u00a0multiple items taken from the shelves into his backpack. The witness approached the suspect and attempted to retain the property\u00a0but the\u00a0suspect threatened the witness to bodily harm if she doesn\u2019t leave him alone. The suspect then fled the store.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vehicle Violation \u2013 Expired Driver\u2019s License \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 8:09 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Noriega St & 28th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers observed a vehicle that had failed to stop at a stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been expired. The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Public Nuisance – Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 10:00 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 1300 12th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n An officer responded to a report of a known homeless female causing a nuisance in the area. Officers arrived\u00a0on scene and located the suspect\u00a0and observed that the\u00a0suspect had all her belongings scattered about her\u00a0with a\u00a0strong odor\u00a0of urine and feces emanating\u00a0from\u00a0the gutter behind the suspect. Officers noted that the\u00a0suspect had a several year history of \u00a0camping in front of business and residence\u00a0and causing\u00a0the same issues. It was recorded that the Homeless Outreach Team had been working with the suspect to get her off the street and into housing but without success\u00a0as the\u00a0suspect refused all help and options that were offered. The suspect was cited\u00a0<\/span>on the\u00a0incident and forwarded to the district attorney\u2019s office for a stay away order from the area.<\/span><\/p>\n
