Firearm Discharge \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 300 Serrano Dr<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a possible explosive; the caller reported that he saw a hole in the ceiling and saw something coming down from the ceiling afterwards. Officers made contact with the upstairs neighbor, the suspect, who\u00a0admitted to accidentally\u00a0discharging\u00a0a round from his firearm while trying to clean it. The suspect reported that he mistakenly thought that the chamber was empty and\u00a0had taken the magazine out before\u00a0racking the firearm a few times, which caused it to discharge. \u00a0The suspect was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

False Registration of a Vehicle – Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 7:25 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Sloat Blvd & 37th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when a vehicle passed\u00a0them at an unsafe speed. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the vehicle revealed that the vehicle’s registration had expired despite having a current registration sticker displayed on the license plate. The driver told the officers that she did not have the money to correct the vehicle\u2019s exhausted problem and therefor was unable to keep the vehicle’s registration current. The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Shoplifting \u2013 warrant Arrest – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 6:26 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 3200 20th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter being detained. Loss prevention told the officers that he observed the suspect select an item, crouch down on\u00a0one knee to wrap the item in a sweater and placing both\u00a0into\u00a0her\u00a0bag.\u00a0 A computer check on the suspect revealed that she had a warrant for her arrested. The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Robbery<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 2400 20th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a firearm. The victim reported\u00a0that he was leaving the apartment building with his friend’s backpack when two suspects approached him\u00a0with a\u00a0gun and\u00a0demanded his property. Fearful, the\u00a0victim\u00a0gave the suspect his property and the suspects immediately\u00a0fled the location in a vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n 2400 35th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that\u00a0she was walking home when the suspect hit her on the head with an unknown item and stole her purse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Driving While Influence \u2013 Injuries to Child \u2013 Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 4:56 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 19th Ave & Sloat Blvd<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report of a hit and run incident. A witness reported to\u00a0responding officers that they saw\u00a0the suspect and vehicle parked on 20th Ave. Officers located the driver and vehicle\u00a0and observed the driver to be intoxicated after speaking with her.\u00a0The driver\u2019s 12 year old daughter, who was also was in the vehicle, also reported to the officers that her mother was driving while intoxicated. Officers conducted an investigation and administered a field sobriety test. After further investigation, the driver provided a sample of her blood and she was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
