Traffic Violation \u2013 Cited<\/strong><\/span>
\n 12:12 pm<\/strong><\/span>
\n Noriega St & 22nd Ave<\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle which failed to completely\u00a0stop at a stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle\u00a0which\u00a0revealed that the license plates were assigned to another vehicle and the registration was expired. The driver reported that his company purchased the car in 2015 and\u00a0\u00a0he was unaware that\u00a0the license plates displayed on his vehicle belonged to a different vehicle. Officers cited the driver for failure to stop at a posted stop sign and for displaying a vehicle license plate not issued for the vehicle.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n Randolph St & Arch St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle reduce it’s speed while approaching the limit line but failing to stop while crossing over the line. Officers also noted that the brake light on the driver’s side was not functioning as well.\u00a0 Officers conducted a traffic stop\u00a0but the\u00a0suspect was unable to provide a California Driver\u2019s license. A records check revealed the suspect\u2019s drivers license status was suspended or revoked. Officers cited the suspect.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n 19th Ave & Sloat Blvd<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle traveling at approximately 50 mph. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The driver admitted to\u00a0officers that he was traveling at 50-60 mph and that his license was suspended for failing to appear for a cracked window. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and driving over the speed limit.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u00a011:32 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Randolph St & Arch St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle failing to completely stop at a stop sign and proceed to through it at\u00a0\u00a0approximately 7 mph instead. Officers followed the vehicle, which was traveling at approximately 30-35 mph\u00a0through a\u00a025 mph limit zone. Officers made a traffic stop on the vehicle and were told that\u00a0he was in a hurry to get to his mom\u2019s place and he did\u00a0not have a driver\u2019s license. A records check revealed the driver\u2019s license status was suspended or revoked. Officers cited the driver and his car was towed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Battery<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 9:41 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 24th Ave & Rivera St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were assigned as school resource officers and responded to a school on the report of a possible battery between a student and a teacher. Upon arrival, officers met with the Dean and the math teacher. The teacher stated the student left her class to take a walk\u00a0and upon\u00a0returning, the student demanded to speak with the teacher. The teacher agreed and they spoke in the hallway where the student explained she was not learning anything in class and demanded a paraprofessional. The teacher responded that she was not in charge of assigning paraprofessionals, which angered the student. The student then loudly said <\/span>\u201cWhy are you being mean to me!\u201d and shoved the teacher on her shoulder.\u00a0The teacher declined\u00a0to press charges but wanted to document the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elder Abuse<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 10:18 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 1100 Pacheco St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report regarding an out of control juvenile. Upon arrival, officers met with the suspect\u2019s grandfather and grandmother. They stated they got into an argument with the suspect about missing school and the suspect began to shout obscenities at them before running\u00a0away. Officers search for the suspect but were met with\u00a0negative results.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dog Bite<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 10:15 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Irving St & 27th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report regarding a dog bite. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated she was out walking\u00a0with her husband when they\u00a0approached\u00a0a man who was also walking two leashed dogs. The victim stated the two dogs began barking at her and her husband as they\u00a0walked by\u00a0and\u00a0one of the dogs jumped forward and bit the victim\u00a0on her left forearm. The dog’s owner apologized and went home to put away the dogs with the victim following him.\u00a0The victim and her husband followed the man home where\u00a0the\u00a0man went into his house before coming\u00a0back a few moments later to\u00a0provide the victim with a band aid for her cut. The victim stated she reported this incident because she wanted it documented. Officers attempted to make contact at\u00a0the suspect\u2019s house but there was no answer.<\/span><\/p>\n
