The victim reported\u00a0that she was woken up by\u00a0someone yelling her name and ringing her door bell\u00a0before hearing\u00a0something hit the window, which caused the\u00a0window to shatter. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim told the officers that the suspect had been showing up the past few days at the same time\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0believes that she recognized the suspect\u2019s voice as belonging to her ex-boyfriend. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Shoplifting \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 2:04 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 1400 Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers responded to a business regarding a report of a theft. The victim reported that he\u00a0went upstairs and left the business unlocked and unattended. When the\u00a0victim returned back downstairs to the store, his\u00a0dog was missing.\u00a0The victim provided the store&#8217;s security video, which showed\u00a0the suspect, to the officers for viewing.\u00a0As the officers were\u00a0returning to the station, they located the suspect matching the description from the security video. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The suspect was detained and later cited for theft.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Traffic Violation \u2013 No Driver\u2019s License \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 12:55 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> Garfield St &amp; Bright St<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers observed a vehicle failing to make a complete stop at a posted stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had expired. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Assault<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 11:25 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> Great Highway &amp; Taraval St<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim told the officers that he was riding his motorcycle when he noticed another vehicle rapidly catching up to him from behind. The vehicle then cut in front of the victim and suddenly braked without warning. The vehicle continued to slow down while in front of the victim before finally stopping. The driver then exited the vehicle and punched the victim, without any explanation. After about 30 seconds of fighting, the driver entered his vehicle and drove off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Traffic Violation \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 2:24 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 2000 9th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> An officer observed a group of skateboarders unloading items and preparing\u00a0to film themselves skating on the sidewalk and streets. The officer advised them that it is illegal to skate on the streets and sidewalk and that there are numerous skate parks in the area. The officer left the area but received a report of skateboarders on the street later in the day. After arriving on scene, the officer recognized the group as the same ones that she had advised earlier. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The skateboarders were later cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Brandishing Knife<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 1:21 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 1100 Capitol Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers responded to a report of a possible stabbing incident. \u00a0The suspect flagged down officers and reported that she was being followed by her landlord and removed a small knife from her purse in order to protect herself while telling the victim to stay away from her. The victim responded that the suspect was a former girlfriend that he was in the process of evicting. While\u00a0the victim\u00a0was walking in the same direction as the suspect but not towards her, the suspect brandished a knife and threatened him. The suspect provided a video of the incident that she recorded on her phone. After further investigation, the officers deemed that a crime was not committed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Vehicle Violation \u2013 Suspended Driver\u2019s License \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 3:02 am<\/span><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 19th Ave &amp; Ocean Ave<\/span><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers were conducting LIDAR speed enforcement\u00a0and\u00a0observed a vehicle traveling 65 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license was currently\u00a0suspended and it had been suspended in the past as well. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Battery<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 4:16 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 1800 Irving St<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers responded to a battery incident. The victim reported that a\u00a0homeless person, with a known history, had\u00a0punched him on his face.\u00a0The victim said that the suspect was drunk and punched him twice in the same day,\u00a0during two separate\u00a0times.\u00a0The victim told the officer that he had hung out with the suspect for many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Robbery<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 10:58 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> 100 Font Blvd<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Officers responded to a possible fight. \u00a0Upon arrival, officers observed approximately 50 teens run out of the building and flee the location. Officers located the victim sitting in front of the building who reported that he responded to someone who had\u00a0made a comment about him. This escalated and caused the suspect to punch the victim while a second suspect joined in and took the victim&#8217;s items.
