Traffic Violation \u2013 Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n 9:36 am<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Lake Merced Blvd & Winston Dr<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle without license plates and without\u00a0registration tabs. A traffic stop was conducted and a records check on the driver revealed that her license was suspended. The driver admitted that\u00a0she knew she was not supposed to drive but she needed to give her child a ride to school. The driver was cited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Assault – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 9th Ave & Lincoln Way<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report regarding an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that\u00a0she was almost punched by the suspect. The victim stated\u00a0the\u00a0suspect was\u00a0yelling while walking down the street towards her. When the suspect got close enough to the victim, the suspect attempted to punch her and swung at her face. However, the\u00a0victim was able to move out of the way in time to avoid being struck.\u00a0Further investigation revealed that the\u00a0suspect had previously attacked\u00a0a worker from Starbucks and also\u00a0had a restraining order against him from a bank. The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Driving Under the Influence – Arrested<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 17th Ave & Rivera St<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report regarding a drunk driver. Officers located and observed the\u00a0vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. When the\u00a0officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the vehicle began driving at a high rate of speed and drove past\u00a0several more stop signs without stopping at them. Once the officers successfully conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, they encountered\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed\u00a0the suspect\u00a0presenting with symptoms of slurred speech and\u00a0bloodshot eyes. Officers conduct tests to determine if the driver was driving under the influence which resulted in a poor performance;\u00a0a positive indication\u00a0of intoxication. The suspect was arrested.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n Officers were on duty at Taraval Police Station when the victim stepped\u00a0in\u00a0to report that\u00a0she had been receiving threatening phone calls from the suspect. The victim stated the suspect will call\u00a0her cellphone for no apparent reason and threatens to beat her up. The victim also reported that\u00a0the suspect carries a loaded weapon\u00a0and that an\u00a0emergency protective order had been issued against the suspect for the victim.<\/span><\/p>\n
