Shoplifting – Cited<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

\n 3200 20th Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a shoplifting\u00a0report. Responding officers spoke with the store’s loss prevention agents who reported that they observed the suspect place a pair of display headphones around his neck and cover them with his jacket. The suspect then attempted to exit the store with the merchandise but was detained. The agents stated that the suspect struggled while being handcuffed but no one was hurt. After further investigation, the\u00a0<\/span>suspect was cited for shoplifting.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n Officers responded to a report regarding a possible burglary. Responding officers spoke to the apartment building’s security guard who reported that he witnessed two suspects canvassing the area outside the building and then entering an empty apartment through the window. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspects who were in the apartment but failed. As the officers secured the apartment’s door, the suspects suddenly surrendered and were detained without further incident.\u00a0After further investigation,\u00a0<\/span>the suspects were cited for trespassing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n 1500 Ocean Ave<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n Officers responded to a report regarding an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that she was working behind the counter of a liquor store when the suspect entered the store. While the victim was processing the suspect’s purchases, the suspect because frustrated at the time it took and began yelling at the victim before punching her on her head. Officers searched but were unable to locate the suspect. However, surveillance footage of the incident was obtained for further investigation. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
