The email claims there was a processing order and\u00a0asks to confirm personal information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A link inside the emails takes customers to a web page that looks real and asks them to confirm their name, address and credit card information associated with the account. When you click save, the site even takes customers back to Amazon\u2019s real website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Amazon has posted advice for customers who find suspicious emails in their inbox.\u00a0Emails that did not really come from Amazon often include these suspicious elements: Suspicious e-mails not from Amazon.com often contain:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"a-list-item\">An order confirmation for an item you didn&#8217;t purchase or an attachment to an order confirmation\u00a0<\/span>Note:\u00a0Go to\u00a0<a class=\"help-display-cond help-display-cond-hidden help-display-cond-rule-platform-DesktopBrowser\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/your-orders\" target=\"_blank\">Your Orders<\/a>\u00a0to see if there is an order that matches the details in the e-mail. If it doesn&#8217;t match an order in Your Account, the message isn&#8217;t from Amazon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"a-list-item\" style=\"color: #000000;\">Requests for your Amazon.com username and\/or password, or other personal information\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"a-list-item\">Requests to update payment information\u00a0<\/span>Note:\u00a0Go to\u00a0<a class=\"help-display-cond help-display-cond-hidden help-display-cond-rule-platform-DesktopBrowser\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/youraccount\" target=\"_blank\">Your Account<\/a>\u00a0and click\u00a0Manage Payment Options\u00a0in the\u00a0Payments\u00a0section.
