Disturbing the Peace – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a suspect yelling and screaming. Responding officers made contact with the suspect, who admitted that she had been frustrated and irritated after her vehicle had been towed for blocking a driveway. The victim, the suspect’s downstairs neighbor, stated that the suspect had been banging on his door and using something to hit his ceiling, causing a lot of noise. The officers warned the suspect and left the scene. However, the suspect continued to yell and disturb the peace and the officers had to respond to the location again. The suspect was cited twice for the noise.

Attempted Robbery – Resisting Arrest – Carrying a Concealed Weapon – Arrested

Officers responded to a McDonalds based on a report of a suspect who wielding a weapon inside the restaurant. Responding officers arrived at the location and located the suspect. The officers attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect refused to comply with the officer’s lawful orders and a struggle ensued. When the suspect was successfully handcuffed, a search of the suspect revealed a knife tucked into his waistband. The victim reported that the suspect had approached him and asked him for change. The victim replied that he did not have any change and the suspect responded by reaching behind his back to locate an object from his waistband. The victim walked away from the suspect but the suspect followed him. Another person, however, stopped the suspect from pursuing the victim. After further investigation the suspect was arrested.

Assault – Shoplifting – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting incident. The victim reported that the suspect had been observed stealing items from the store. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect responded by attempting to punch the victim. The suspect missed the victim but took out a can of pepper spray and sprayed the victim before immediately fleeing the area. After further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was also involved in a later incident, which occurred at a nearby at a McDonalds. The suspect was charged for this incident.  

Discharging a Firearm

Officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the area. Responding officers arrived at the area and located discarded shell casings. However, a further search of the area did not locate any victims or damages to nearby property.  

Robbery – Possession of an Air Gun – Arrested

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to Target regarding a person with a gun. Responding officers arrived at the location and successfully detained the suspect, who had fled further down the street. A search of the suspect and his backpack located an air gun. The victim reported that the suspect had walked out of the store with stolen merchandise. When the victim attempted to stop the suspect, the suspect pointed a gun at him. The victim ran back into the store for safety. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Assault with a Gun

Officers responded to a report of shots being fired. Responding officers arrived at the location and made contact with the victim. The victim reported that he had just been shot by the suspect, his ex-wife’s boyfriend. The victim stated that he had arrived to speak to his ex-wife about money and divorce papers and had also texted his ex-wife. However, the suspect exited the building with a gun when the victim arrived and fired a shot into the ai before telling the victim to leave. The victim told the suspect that he wanted to talk to his ex-wife and have her sign the divorce papers. The suspect then shot the victim in his leg. Officers searched the building and successfully located the suspect. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
