SFPD Wilderness Program Takes Hoover MS Students on Boat Trip!

ofcr_riveraOn Thursday April 30, 2015 the Wilderness Program participated with Blue Water Foundation to provide sailing in SF Bay. Hoover Middle School participated with 10, students, 2 teachers and 1 officer.

Officer Rivera (above) is the coordinator of the SFPD Wilderness Program. In partnership with schools and other youth organizations, the SFPD Wilderness Program takes kids on hikes and camping trips so that they can enjoy the outdoors while under the safe supervision of San Francisco police officers. The purpose of the Program is to bring youths and police officers together and build a positive relationship.
