Vandalism to Property – Arrested

1100 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of someone breaking windows. The witness, a SFFS Medic Unit, reported that he observed the suspect breaking the window before walking away. Responding officers located and made contact with the suspect who told them that he had accidentally kicked the window. However, the security cameras in the area showed that the suspect preformed a spin kick and broke the window. The suspect also suffered cuts on his legs, which was treated by the medic who was already on scene. The suspect was arrested.

Vandalism to Street Car

19th Ave & Holloway Ave
Officers responded to a report of a suspect damaging a MUNI window. The witness, a MUNI bus driver, reported that the suspect had gotten on the MUNI without paying his fare. The driver made a comment about the suspect’s dog, which angered the suspect and he demanded that the witness not talk to his dog. The driver instructed the suspect to get off the bus, which the suspect complied and exited the bus. Immediately after disembarking, the suspect threw a rock which hit a window and caused it to crack.  

Traffic Violation – Cited

19th Ave & Buckingham Way
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with only one functioning brake light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. The driver told the officers that it was not his vehicle and that he was driving his friend’s car. The driver was unable to provide the proof of insurance and registration. A computer check on the vehicle revealed that the registration had been expired since January 2017. The driver was cited and his vehicle towed.

Vehicle Burglary – Arrested

300 Stonecrest Dr
Officers responded to a report of a suspect that had just broken into a vehicle. Officers located the suspect and while speaking to him, the officers observed what looked like a firearm from his pocket. The officers investigated the the firearm, which was determined to be an imitation. The officers obtained information from witnesses regarding the suspect as the one who had broken into the vehicle. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

The victim told the officers that his neighbor had been having loud parties almost every week. The victim said that he was getting sick of the loud noises so he decided to confront the neighbor. The victim said that he attempted to go to the front door but there were several party goers blocking it. The victim told them to move out of the way and one of the party goers punched the victim before fleeing.
