Captain’s Message: Taken from Newsletter – April Week 1&2

Dear residents and community members,

On Monday, April 9, 2019, the department announced that 10 of 30 identified residential burglars were arrested in connection with 60 residential burglaries in the Taraval, Ingleside and Bayview Districts. The serial crew has stolen close to $3,000,000 in currency, jewelry, passports and guns. I would like to thank the Burglary Detail and the SIT teams for their continued hard work and the results are dramatic.

In comparison to March, the April trend for residential burglaries is significantly down. We have not had the same issue with day-time hot prowls, but still have late night garage burglaries in the district. As a department, we recommend that you lock your garage doors at night and request SF SAFE to evaluate your resi-dence.

Please join us this Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM as Taraval Station will be hosting “Coffee with a COP” at Henry’s House of Coffee, 1618 Noriega Street.

As a reminder, you can attend monthly Taraval Police Station Community Meetings every third Tuesday of the month, from 6:00-7:00pm at Taraval Police Station. There, you can hear up-dates and share any of your concerns. For more information, visit http://www.taraval.org or call (415) 759-3100.
