Shoplifting with Force – Assault

Officers responded to a report of an incident involving pepper spray. The victims stated that two suspects walked into the store before selecting multiple items of merchandise and attempted to walk away without paying. One victim, a store clerk, attempted to detain a suspect but the second suspect produced a large can of pepper spray and used it to attack the victim. The suspects then successfully fled the scene.

Officers responded to a report from Rec. and Park Rangers who had detained a possible auto boost suspect. The Rangers stated that they observed suspicious activity from the suspect, who had stopped at a vehicle and looked around him before trying to open several of the vehicle’s doors. The Rangers detained the suspect and attempted to identify the suspect, despite the suspect suddenly charging the Rangers in an attempt to flee. A search of the suspect revealed a wallet containing credit and identification cards belonging to multiple individuals. A computer check on the suspect also revealed that he was on probation for burglary. The suspect was arrested.
