Assault – Robbery – Possession of Stolen Property – Arrested

Lincoln Way & 8th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress. The victim stated that the suspect had suddenly approached and yelled at him before kicking a sign that was next to the victim’s face. The suspect kicked the sign a second time before punching the victim and snatching his backpack. The victim was then chased into a nearby store, where he successfully escaped the suspect. Responding officers located and detained the suspect without incident. After further investigation, the stolen property was returned to the victim and the suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute. The suspect stated that she and the victim had a prolonged argument that lasted throughout the day. In the evening, the suspect did not want to sleep in the same bed as the victim and requested that he sleep on the couch but the victim refused. The suspect then attempted to disturb the victim’s sleep by turning on the TV and also a mixer. The victim attempted to turn off the mixer which prompted the suspect to push and slap the victim in return. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect threatening to shoot a family member. Responding officers arrived to find three parties involved in a heated argument while in the driveway. The suspect immediately noticed the officers and walked quickly into the garage and closed the door. The victim and witness stated that they had been involved in an argument with the suspect. The victim reported that he was walking home when he encountered the suspect, who threatened to shoot him. The victim then entered his bedroom but was followed by the suspect, who punched him several times. 

The officers attempted to make contact with the suspect and knocked on his bedroom door but was refused initially refused entry. When the suspect finally opened the door, he was angry and combative. An attempt to de-escalate the situation was unsuccessful. The suspect was placed in cuffs, despite his continued resistance and anger. The suspect attempted to flee while being escorted out of the garage and had to be forcibly subdued and restrained. A computer check on the suspect revealed a warrant for his arrest. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Battery – Robbery of a Gas Station – Hit and Run

Officers responded to a report of a battery at a Shell Gas Station. The victim stated that the suspect attempted to purchase a cigar but became upset when she was asked for identification. The suspect grudgingly produced her ID and payment for the cigar. However, the suspect took offense to the way the victim took the identification from her hands and suddenly snatched her ID back, along with the cigar and the cash and ran back to her vehicle. The victim attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect reversed her vehicle into another car and fled the scene.  

A witness confirmed that there had been a dispute at the counter between the victim and the suspect which was followed a commotion by the gas pumps. The witness also confirmed that the suspect had suddenly reversed her vehicle, which made contact with another car before she fled.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim reported that he was talking on his cell phone when he felt something hit the side of his face. The victim fell to the ground and loss consciousness. When he awoke, he found that his cell phone was missing.

200 Minerva St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, who was heavily intoxicated, reported that the suspect and his niece were partying in front of the house. The victim told them to stop and leave the property. The suspect became angry and punched the victim, before leaving the location.

Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that a known shoplifting  suspect had entered the store and was told to leave the store. The suspect became angry and kicked and punched the victim before exiting the store.
