Assault – Arrested
6:10 pm
2300 Taraval St
Taraval SIT investigation team identified a suspect who was involved in an assault which occurred previously. The inspector assigned to the case made contact with the suspect and convinced him to turn himself in at Taraval Station. The suspect arrived at the station, was interviewed and was later arrested.  

Discharging a Firearm

Randolph St & Bright St
Officers were on patrol and observed that a park sign had been damaged with a single bullet hole. The officers canvassed the area but were unsuccessful in locating further damage or cameras.   

Battery
4:05 pm
Funston Ave & Irving St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim stated that she had made a remark to the suspect regarding the suspect’s child, who was crying. The remark angered the suspect and a verbal argument ensued. Shortly after, both parties turned to leave the store and the victim reported that the suspect pushed her so she fell into the bushes. A witness confirmed that incident but believed that the victim provoked the suspect.  

Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License – Cited

Ocean Ave & Aptos
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle being driven with a broken head light. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been expired since 2004. The driver was cited.

Assault on a child – Arrested

300 Eucalyptus Dr
Officers responded to a report of a battery on a child. The witness reported that she and her daughter, the victim, and the suspect were in the store’s changing room. Without warning, the suspect inappropriately touched the victim while she was naked. Responding officers arrived and after further investigation with statements from witnesses, the suspect was arrested.  

Domestic Violence
There were two reported incidents of domestic violence. One was arrested and the other fled the scene before responding officers arrived.
