Update as of January 19, 2018 at 9:48pm:

At 9:48pm on Friday evening, San Francisco police officers located a vehicle matching the description of one used by a suspect wanted in a homicide on 34th Avenue earlier in the evening. Officers located the vehicle at 47th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue with a person matching the suspect’s description inside. Officers were able to confirm that the suspect was armed with a handgun and took steps to contain the area.

Hostage negotiators were summoned to the scene, as the subject refused to comply with officers’ orders and appeared to have barricaded himself in the vehicle. At some point during the course of negotiations, the suspect fired his weapon upon himself. Officers deployed a diversionary device to solicit a response from the suspect. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers found the suspect suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officers immediately administered CPR. Medical personnel responding to the scene attempted to treat the suspect’s injuries. The suspect, identified as Winston Hue, was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:19pm.
