Dear residents and community members,
On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, San Francisco SAFE hosted the first “Milk Tea with a Cop” at Tak Kee Lee Restaurant at 2435 Noriega. The event was inspired by the successful “Coffee with a Cop” and targeted the Asian community. A number of Taraval Station bilingual officers attended the event and had Asian style milk tea with the members of the community.
Since the Lunar New year is upon us, San Francisco SAFE and Taraval Station officers provided community members with calendars that contained safety tips, as it was common years ago for criminals to intimidate and extort merchants this time of year. I would like to thank San Francisco SAFE Executive Director, Kyra Worthy and Public Safety Coordinator, Wesley Chui for coordinating this event.
The event was a success and it appears that San Francisco SAFE plans to have future “Milk Tea with a Cop” events in the district.
