Battery – Trespassing

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, a store employee, stated that two suspects had entered the store earlier and one of the suspects went behind the counter to select an item. The suspects then left after the victim instructed them to leave the store. About 40 minutes later, the two suspects entered the store again with a third suspect and they all began yelling and cursing at the victim. The third suspect also punched the victim. The victim’s co worker called the police and the suspects fled the store.  

Assault

Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim stated that he was walking home through a parking garage when he observed a vehicle pulling out and hitting a second vehicle. The victim told the driver of the vehicle, the suspect, that he had hit his neighbor’s vehicle. The suspect replied that he was not going to leave a note for the owner of the second vehicle because there were no damages. While the victim inspected the second vehicle for damages, the suspect drove his vehicle slowly until he hit the victim with the vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect and a fight ensued with both parties punching each other before the victim walked away.

An off duty officer observed a subject in the middle of the roadway for a long period of time. The officer attempted to help the subject off the road and on to the sidewalk but the subject resisted. The suspect yelled at the officer, pushed him and kicked the officer’s vehicle. A witness reported the incident and the responding officers determined that the subject was intoxicated. The subject was cited for battery and transported to the hospital for detoxification.
