Burglary – Methamphetamine Offense – Possession of Burglary Tools – Arrested
3:25 am
2100 19th Ave
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle, without a front license plate and a shattered back door, that was parallel parked next to a building. A computer check on the vehicle revealed that it had been stolen. While waiting for additional units, the suspect ran out of the building and attempted to hide under nearby bushes.  The officers detained him and a search revealed methamphetamine in the suspect’s pocket. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple burglary tools. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Driving while under the Influence – Traffic Violation – Arrested

9th Ave & Lincoln Way
Officers responded to a report of a driver who had stopped his vehicle in the middle of traffic. SFFD medics arrived and removed the driver, who was passed out, from his vehicle. Responding officers made contact with the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, and a search revealed a can of beer on the back floor board of the vehicle. After failing multiple tests, the driver was arrested.  

Assault
12:13 pm
2200 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a person that had been stabbed. The witness reported that the victim had walked into the pet hospital and claimed that he had been stabbed. The victim, who appeared to be slightly intoxicated, stated that he had been drinking all night and had fallen asleep while on the bus from the Castro area. The victim awoke when he felt a pain on his shoulder and discovered that there was blood on his shirt. The victim then entered the pet hospital in an attempt to get help.  

Battery
9:00 pm
19th Ave & Kirkham St
Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, a bus driver, reported that he was loading passengers when the bus became too full. The victim attempted to close the door but the suspect forced open the door and got on to the bus. The suspect then spat at the victim before exiting the bus. 

Arson of a Vehicle
4:59 am
Lincoln Way & 35th Ave
Officers responded to a report of three vehicles on fire, which was later extinguished by SFFD. Responding officers made contact with each of the victims but they did not know why their vehicles caught on fire. The incident is currently being investigated by the SFFD arson task force.
