An off-duty officer observed the suspect stealing items from multiple neighborhood stores while acting erratically and aggressively towards passersby, including store workers and other off-duty officers. The suspect was detained and dispatch was notified. On-duty officers responded and the suspect was transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A security employee for Park Merced reported that there was a trespasser inside a vacant unit. Responding officers made entry into the unit and detained the suspect without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was cited and arrested.

The victim’s father entered Taraval Station to report an incident of battery. The father stated that his son had been playing in the playground when somebody pushed him from behind, causing injuries when the son stumbled forward, tripped and hit a nearby table.
