Warrant Arrest – Recovered Vehicle – Possession of Burglary Tools

Holloway Ave and Brighton Ave
Officers observed a vehicle parked in front of a building that was blocking a fire hydrant. A computer query revealed that the vehicle was stolen. The officers saw a woman get out of the vehicle, and they detained her. The officers then called the owner of the vehicle and told him he could pick up his vehicle. At Taraval Station, an officer conducted an inventory search of the woman’s items and found a shaved key. A computer query on the woman revealed that there were three warrants for her arrest. The officers booked the woman for the warrants, possession of burglary tools, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of stolen property.

Officers noticed a man who was hunched over and performing mechanical work on a scooter. The license plate was attached in a suspicious manner. A computer check of the license plate revealed that it had been reported stolen. The officers spoke to the man and later detained him. The officers then arrested and booked the man at County Jail.
Residential Burglary – Unlawful Entry

Officers responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that a suspect stole his bike from behind the gate that leads to his house. The officers examine the gate and saw no signs of forced entry. They determined that the gate must have been accidently left open because there was no other way for the suspect to enter the premise. The officers issued the man a follow-up form.

A man came into Taraval Station to report a vehicle strip. He stated to the officer that when he started up his vehicle, he heard a loud noise emitting from underneath his vehicle. Officers responded to a call of a fight/dispute between neighbors. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met woman who stated that a notice was posted on the garage door of the building. The notice was addressed to a person whose name is on the lease and used to live in the building. The woman later saw the person’s ex-boyfriend walk by and tear down the notice. She wanted the incident to be documented. The officers provided her with a follow-up form.

A man came into Taraval Station to report a suspicious occurrence. He stated to the officer that earlier in the week he heard fireworks going off. When he later went out to his vehicle, he discovered a brownish powder on top. The powder appeared to be firework remnants. The officer gave the man a case number and follow-up information.

Officers responded to a death report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met the resident manager who stated that he earlier he conducted a well-being check of the man. He found him on the floor unconscious and not breathing. The Medical Examiner later arrived on scene and took over the investigation.

An officer responded to an aggravated assault with force. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that earlier he heard a punch and turned around to see the victim falling to the ground. The man also saw the suspect fleeing the scene. SFFD medics placed the victim into the ambulance.

Officers responded to a call of a battery. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that earlier he observed a truck parked in one of the handicap spaces of a park. When he confronted the two suspects who occupied the vehicle, they verbally berated him and parked their vehicle beside his vehicle. The two suspects later moved their vehicle out of the park, and returned to the park on foot. One of the suspects then charged at the man and slammed into him. The suspects then fled the scene.

An officer responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met the owners of the house who stated that they secured their house before going to sleep. The next morning, they woke up and noticed that the front window of the second floor was unlocked and open. A suspect entered the window and stole many of the homeowners’ personal belongings.

An officer responded to a residential burglary with forcible entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a construction worker who stated that the house had been burglarized before. He stated that earlier he and his crew secured the home before leaving. They returned to discover that the suspects had entered the house through a back window and stole a personal belonging. The officer determined that the point of entry was through the forced opened back window.

An officer responded to a burglary with forcible entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a construction owner who stated that his company left a shipping container in the street in front of the house. A suspect gained entry into the container and stole many tools & furniture. The officer observed that the locking latch to the shipping container was cut and bent. There were also tool marks on the lock shackle. The officer determined that the point of entry and exit was through the doors in front of the container.

Officer responded to a residential burglary with unlawful entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a man who stated that he locked and secured his premise prior to leaving. He returned to his apartment to discover the front door and bathroom window opened. A personal belonging of his was missing from a room of his apartment. The officer determined that the point of entry to be though the bathroom window and the point of exit to be through the main hallway of the apartment complex.

When the assistant manager heard the store’s alarm activate, he responded to the front of the store and observed the suspect leaving the store without making any attempt of paying for the store items. The officer gave the assistant manager a follow-up form.

The officer took pictures of the damaged fenders and provided the man a follow-up form.

Officers responded to a trespassing call involving an intoxicated subject. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met the manager who stated that the subject came home intoxicated and refused to leave when asked. When the officers informed the subject he had to leave, he eventually agreed to leave. After the officers escorted him outside, they observed the man and deemed him unable to take care of himself or others. The officers told the man he was under arrest, and he attempted to flee from the officers. The officers were able to stop the subject and detain him. The officers cited the man for being under the influence of alcohol in a public place and resisting, delaying, or obstructing peace officer duties.

The driver left his vehicle legally parked and left the scene.

Robbery with a Gun

Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met two women whom stated that when they were walking home together, the suspect walked up to them from behind. The suspect then walked in front of them with a black handgun pointing towards them. The suspect demanded for their money and valuables. After collecting their personal belongings, the suspect then fled the scene. The officers provided the women a follow-up form.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that he returned to his parked vehicle to discover that the rear bumper of his vehicle was touching the front bumper of the vehicle parked directly behind it. The man inspected his vehicle and stated that he observed small scratches on his bumper and that his right taillight was cracked. The officer inspected the front bumper of the other vehicle and did not observe any evidence that would suggest a collision strong enough to crack the taillight of the man’s vehicle. The officer was unable to conclude that a hit-and-run occurred.

Warrant Arrest – Driving with a Suspended License

An officer observed the suspect driving a vehicle. The officer recognized that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and that he did not possess a valid CA driver’s license. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and placed the suspect under arrest. A computer check revealed that the suspect’s license was still suspended and the warrant was still active. The officer transported the suspect to Taraval Station and booked him on the outstanding warrant.

Officers responded to a residential burglary with forcible entry. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met a woman who stated that she was downstairs she heard sounds of movement in the upper level of the house. The officers provided the woman with follow-up forms.

He stated to the officers that the front gate may have been left open.

The account that the check was written from had been flagged. When they told the suspect that the check could not be cashed, he exited the bank and struck the inside of the glass door. The glass door broke. The officers took photographs of the damage and the fingerprints. They also contacted CSI.

A man came into Taraval Station to file a fraud report. He stated to the officer that the suspect called him claiming to be with the Federal Treasury. The suspect told him that he owed the government a large sum of money and advised him to purchase cards preloaded with money. The man provided the suspect with the access numbers to all the prepaid cards. He later realized that it was a scam. The officer provided him a follow-up form.

An officer responded to a death case. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that he was in his room by himself when his dad began yelling for an ambulance. He went downstairs to see his mom choking on her food. He then called 911. The medical examiner on scene took possession of the deceased women and transported her to the medical examiner office.

A woman came into Taraval Station to report a dog bite. She stated to the officer that while she was dropping something off at a building, a dog suddenly bit her. Officers responded to the scene of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers met with a man who stated that a driver stopped at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection without yielding to traffic. A records check revealed that the driver was never issued a driver’s license. The driver whose vehicle was hit signed a citizen’s arrest form. The officers cited the other driver for driving without a driver’s license and failing to yield to a vehicle in the intersection.

An officer responded to a death report. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer met a man who stated that as he was assisting his father in the bathroom; his father became disorientated and went limp. His father was ill and took several medications for the illness. The Medical Examiner arrived on scene and took over the investigation.
