An officer was conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a vehicle speeding. Using a department-issued LIDAR device, the officer measured the vehicle traveling at 50 mph in a 35-mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver.
A computer check revealed that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The owner of the vehicle arrived at the scene and informed the officers that he knew the driver did not have a valid driver’s license but had allowed him to use the vehicle. The driver and the vehicle owner were both cited.

An officer was conducting traffic enforcement when they observed a vehicle speeding. Using a department-issued LIDAR device, the officer measured the vehicle traveling at 52 mph in a 35-mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver.
A computer check revealed that the driver had his license suspended. The driver was cited.
