On Wednesday, December 10, 2014, Captain Lum of Taraval Station and Captain Lazar of Central Station went to Gordon Lau Elementary School to help give out toys collected from the Irving Street Toy Drive. A retired SFPD officer donned his Santa suit to enhance the Christmas experience for the kids!
Bill Barnickel of the Outer Sunset Merchants and Professionals Association and members of the SFPD Asian Pacific Islander Forum were also present to help Santa. The collected toys were sorted and gift-wrapped by the school staff and other volunteers. A gift was handed to every single student.
Chief Greg Suhr stopped-by the School to thank the Captains and the volunteers for their efforts.
